I apolagies for being a complete noob, but what is "For intercooler mounted d/v scoobs " ??

I have a standard uk turbo my00, will it be a straight forward fit?

yeah it will fit 98-00 model years i believe, as im interested and have a my99.

Just to clarify...

From about 93-96 the dump valve was situated in a pipe near the turbo (left hand side of the car) you had to cut the pipe and strap the new one in place. The 97-00 cars have the dump valve stuck on the bottom right of the intercooler, fitting is a two second job. See photo, hope this helps
