I am replacing the strut / spring assemblies on my MY '05 Forester 2.0 XT in about two weeks time.
The original strut / spring assemblies are for sale. They come complete with top hats etc. & will be a straight bolt in swap.
The rears are self-levelling.
To date they only have 7,500 miles on them so, if your Forester struts & springs are knackered - this is the perfect solution - you don't even need a spring compressor.
