NEW AGE turbo smart supersonic DUMP VALVE
As supplied to me by TSL-motorsport this time last year.
This should fit all WRX and STi's from 02 onwards.
I have really enjoyed having this on the car and in all fairness the car didnt seem as responsive when it was taken off this afternoon. If you want the whoosh sound then this is the valve for you. It also promotes the pops and bangs which again disappeared from the car this afternoon. I only removed it as it gets a bit annoying when watching In car video's, I never tired of the sound though
Its fully controllable so you can go from a hard or soft sound depending on whether you wish to scare women and small children or just the neighbours cat.

Why fit a Turbosmart dump valve?
In simple terms, dump valves eliminate compressor stall when changing gears. Excessive backpressure is created when the throttle is closed during gear changes or deceleration, causing turbo cavitation. This is detrimental to the life of your turbocharger, which is why a dump valve is fitted.
The Turbosmart dump valves are an improvement over the OEM unit as they dump the boost faster and hence will significantly reduce turbo spool up time. You will notice a substantial improvement in response from your turbo between gearshifts. Boost will come on earlier giving an increase in torque at lower RPM.
The Supersonic is designed for serious racing and high performance, ensuring maximum flow (and maximum noise!). Supplied with a replacement flange gasket and blanking plug and all fitting hardware for New Age Impreza. Some Classic models require an adapter kit.
Now also available in new Sleeper series with black finish, for those who prefer the performance to blend into the engine bay.
Cost from TSL is £210 (ish) + postage. You can have mine for £95 including postage.
Original box and fitting instructions still included, infact I still have the sticker too.
