Has anyone bought or sold an Impreza recently?
I’m looking to buy a MY99/00 around mid November and need some help with prices.
Can you give me an idea what you bought or sold your car for – some idea of mileage and condition would be helpful as well
I’ve seen various prices in garages and privately but I know this is often different to what the car actually sells for
So anyone who has bought a 98/99 or 2000 registered car recently – please help me out!

Can't help on pricing, but make sure you understand wether what you are buying is a UK car with 3 year IM warranty or European import with 1 year IM warranty (some have 3 year warranty, maybe with a 3rd party warranty company)
People were getting MY00 Euro imports brand new for around £17k, MY00 UK was around £21k.
I've seen year old Euro imports advertised for £15-£16k which is far too much IMHO when the owner only paid around £17k.

hi m8 !
just got MY98 uk spec turbo
66,000 miles fsh from bridgend
clean car but not the best i have seen
paid £12,000 .
an optional extra warranty cost £400
for one year for cars under 100,000 miles from cvc cardiff.
as car was 6,000 miles over manufactures warranty
not to bad a deal
had to get cat 1 fitted £270.
have allready spent £300 on wrx spoiler,
so best to know what type and look you want first (not like me)

Bought a MY98 (S) UK Turbo 4 door about a month ago. 22,000 miles, FSH, Perfect condition apart from a scuff on the front bumper. Cat 1 alarm and new head unit. £12,100

I've got a W reg MY'00 with a few extras including cat 1 alarm + Tracker system fitted
Its done 14,000 miles superb condition in Deep Blue Mica full history etc...
Im looking for £15,500 o.n.o. if you are interested ?

If you look on autotraders website you'll see loads of scoobs there. To be honest they will fetch more money there than they will on scoobynet. This is probably the best bet for a bargain, just be patient and wait for the right one to come along.
I bought my MY00 for less than 15000 by the time I'd got it back here with a Cat 1 alarm and traded it in 1½ years later with 17k miles for 14500. It is now up for 15995 at a dealers.

It's worth what the market will pay for an MY00, minus a bit for the lack of warranty. Hence why people get a bargain when they buy a new one, and subsequent buyers get the same bargain, too.
I don't want to hijack the thread (sorry), but I couldn't let the opportunity to wind gregh up pass by untaken
There'll be quite a few around now, and I can poll the importingimprezas mailing list to see if any have been sold on, and for what sort of money.
The chap who bought one above sounds like he got a good car cheap...
