Magazine test winner. Detects X, K, Ka(Gatso), Ku & Laser. All bands are selectable, making it great for European trips. Front & rear detection. Digital voice & LED text warning of band & signal strength.

Boxed & in perfect condition with manual, case & all accessories.

I bought this in February 2000 for £395.00, I am now selling because I've changed my Scoob for a family 4x4.

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Offers?

Question

To answer a few questions I've had by email.

The detector can detect X band, however X band is not in use (by the police) in the UK & is switched off. Any band can easily be switched on or off.

The digital voice warning is a bit of a sales gimmick. It can be disabled if required. (I currently have it disabled).

The is a dim & dark option for the display. There is also city & highway settings. However, on the Bell, the city setting keeps K detection at full power & just cuts X band. As X band isn't in use by the police here, city mode is not much use. However, we all keep to the speed limit in the city, right?

The detector is good enough that I can trust it to overtake past a Gatso - you know - the ones on straight bits of road....

I am not a dealer, I am selling the detector that I used without problems for just over a year. The detector was perfect in use & I could trust it every time.

If anyone wants to discuss it on the phone, I can give you my phone number by email.

I've got the Bell 980(no ka band) and have been very impressed by it's accuracy. As Nick says, so good is it's detection of Gatsos that I no longer slow down just in case (in the right circumstances). On average I expect around 200 to 400 yds notice. Certainly saved me a couple of times.

Steve.

What a bargain!

I just paid over 300squid for the Bel550 which is virtualy the same model. if you can wait until thursday i've got a m8 was was also going to get a 550 and would definitely be interested in yours for that price.

btw. is it just me or are most of the gatso's not working?

haven't got enough confidence to blast past them yet.

Thanks Richard, but I have promised everyone a Wednesday close. My aim is not to eek out the most dosh, but to be as fair as I can.

You're right - most Gatso's don't work apart from special areas when they're almost always active.

Steve, I think that it's Ku that your's can't pick up. Ku is those nasty mobile Gatso's. Thanks for the support Steve.

I had a slightly higher offer (than Dom) via email last night. However I will only look at offers on the BBS which I think is more fair for everyone.

OK Di no problem.

Scoobylover is the current highest bid at £165.00.

Future bids in lots no smaller than £5 please. If there is a flurry of bids towards midday - the winning bid will be the one just before or on 12:00 midday as per the Scoobynet timestamp. Even if there is a higher bid after 12:00 or by email, I will still take the bid just before or on 12:00 exactly. Is that fair?

Payment either by cleared cheque, or cash. I will pay for postage & insurance. Or you can collect & I can show you how it works. (It's not rocket science though..)

Oh OK Dom, no probs.

I hear that the 550 is practically the same as mine. So you'd be fine with either. Whatever you do - don't go for a cheapo one - they're a complete waste of time. Bell is good - as is the Valentine 1.
