I know you don't want any offers but f you are struggling, would you consider £4300?

I'm sorry for being such a know-nothing - but what do you mean by registering.

I take it to be that the car has been imported but not registered for use in the UK......? If this is the case, why hasn't it been registered yet...?

This is the kind of classic that I'm after, although I was really looking to buy in the Spring. Can you provide any further info on the engine - estimated power outputs and history of work done - servicing etc...?

Thanks

you just take its mot (done with the vin no instead of the reg no) to a main dvla office pay for a tax disc and £30 quid ish for registraition they issue you with a reg number and tax disc 3 days later

because ive to much clutter nice clutter though

engine is standard RA spec=bloody quick and strong
closed deck engine block and solid lifter heads are the main 2
designed to allow you to rev to 7k all day long
theres a 5th injector aswell and intercooler water spray system
japs always seem to look after there cars the engine oil is clean
this 1 is a very nice example
power well its as quick as the evo 4 no problem and that has 280 bhp but the RA is more explosive in its power delivery-- wooosh and you need the next gear
pound for pound these cars are a givaway

hope that helps

£9 k for the evo with a 6 disc cd changer
the photos do not do it justice

i actually prefer it to the tommi makinen as its more refined where as the tommi is like a rallycar on the road very uncompromising
if it was up to me the tme would be for sale and i would keep the 4

Darbo - thanks for the info - I take it to be you're imported the car yourself then - what kind of history has the car got - ie loads / none.

(apologies for all the questions)

absolutly no history

ive imported a few imprezas and the evo's for my gf
oow and a r32 gtr skiline that stunned me - Awsum smile making machine-but the guy who i sold it to crashed it after 1 day

you get the jap de reg certificates with a uk translated copy customs vat/duty paid form a MOT then all you need is a uk insurance covernote with the cars vin number and job done its on the road

no somtimes they come with jap service history but who can understand it ?
the cars you have to take on their merit which 99% are perfect
main issues are scufs which most have the odd one bodyshop repairable for less than £100 stuff but nothing more than any car over here would have

ive seen enough to no that mine is a genuine milage car and it is in tip top condition engine and transmission wise which is nothing more than what should be expected from any impreza with less than 100k miles-reliable cars full stop

no problem answering any questions at all

standard RA power is only 240ps in 1994, 260ps in 1995-96

I am pretty sure the rear diff is plated either, unless you get the STI RA with the DCCD centre diff.

i know std power is only 240 but this car is very quick
dont ask me why but it is as fast as any wrx ive had sofar and ive had some good ones mines ecu's etc ive owned 3 RA's my95&96 and this MY 94 is quicker than the other 2 easyly- more punch when it comes on boost
RA's Have a plated rear as far as i know

this car is in excellent mecanical condition unlike the poor guy on the general tec forum who bought his RA 2 weeks ago and is having nowt but problems

ANY INSPECTION WELCOM by a qualified engineer RAC AA etc
cant say fairer than that
