cheers fat fella,i think i do too!!!

the problem is deciding!! so many lovely scoobys, like Phils, its just getting the right one.

the insurance company is saying get a uk car, my head is saying that, but theres so many minted WRXs kicking about.

i need a sound car though that wont cost me money to fix in any shape of form

tbh, DOESNOFFER's car was the one - UK, nice subtle mods, cat 1 , tracker, average mileage and for a bargain price.

Yea was a nice motor that Baz,think he wanted 7k,was worth every penny...as is Phils....Oh by the way Phil, what bhp does ya car have? Most of the earlier WRX'S only had 240bhp and the wagon wrx 220.Think ya have to get 97 on to get 280 out of a WRX..like ya say is it worth it?I have spent under £500 on tuning mods on mine,ok i fitted all myself includin ecu remap, but my car runs pretty consistant 280 bhp now,and i know that it bein Uk spec it always had proper history. There is 2 ways of thinkin about buyin wrx or uk spec, non are wrong i suppose just different!1 I know which i prefer!!
Good luck again Phil..

Thumbs up

I would say Phil's is running at least 240bhp with the mods it has. Phil's car pulls a lot stronger than my MY96 Series McRae did.

To be honest I wish I could afford to run Phil's as a second car. I'll hopefully be looking for a weekend/track day toy next year if the finances are OK but can't run to a scoob as a toy.

I've driven Phil's car a few times and it drives no differently to a 40000 miler. The P1 suspension and brake mods mean the chassis is bang upto date with no slop or play. The engine pulls very strong from lower revs than I have experienced in other scoobs including my old one, must be the de-cat and exhaust allowing the turbo to spin up sooner.

Good buy for the next owner anyway.

Cheers
Lee

tnx Lee
if that doesn't sell it someone...nothing will

I looked at a Sti3 (280bhp in std form).. Tesco wanted well.. well.. over £3k insurance.
Thats £2k more than i pay now! and for what.. the car was the same shape and only had 40bhp on me now!... 2k or not 2k.. is a very easy question to answer.
Rather put £2k towards mods on another car IMO
would be different if it were 320bhp lol
