Firstly, the missus needs to sell her car as she has just ordered a new MX-5.

It is in the auto trader this week for £11,500, this is genuine trade price as she would rather know who the car is being sold to than see it sat on a forecourt for a grand more a week later!

Spec is, red mx-5 1,8i - not the 6 speed job. Extras are alloys and a cd player, the rest is standard.

It was registered in May last year and has done 20k miles since then.

It has the remainder of the manufacturers 3 year warranty left.

The last service was less than 1000 miles ago, at which point the clutch and flywheel were changed for new modified versions under warranty due to the clutch judder problem associated with this batch of cars. It also had a set of tyres about 2500 miles ago.

There is really no advantage in anyone buying this car from a dealer as they would be able to do nothing to it. The car really is in fabulous condition. I have just tried to find acouple of pics on the pc but they have been deleted. I will be able to come up with one if required.

There is a hard top for the car too but this will be through seperate negotiation as they are pretty easy to sell to other mx-5 owners.

The car is near Preston.

Yes, in fact I am in this weeks autocar!!

Are you referring to the new mx-5? If so, this is not due until 2007! about the right time for her to change it again. Otherwise, please enlighten me.

Cheers

The wife has said that I must tell you, you are a big fat pu*f.

She doesn't take kindly to those kind of comments and isn't a hairdresser either. She owns a gun shop!!! (seriously) Tread carefully.

Cheers
