Alex - I would say not much difference between the two.

Steve - no split at moment, but Mongoose seems to have funny sizing so not sure, even if I split the decat, if you could mate it to a center section without some cutting and welding.

Visiting Mark tomorrow so can bring the downpipe with me if you want to have a look. Might be hanging around for the southend cruise.

Thanks for the info.
Have you got any pictures?
Is the system still on the car if I wanted to come over to hear it?

Oh, couple more questions:

What model is it for?
Does it come with the electronic gadget to make the ECU think it has still got cats? Do I need to fit a wastegate actuator restrictor to prevent overboost?
Anything else I need to know???

It's for a classic model (not sure if it will fit MY01&gt.

Does not come with anything except the exhaust itself. If you're going decat then an ECU remap (Tek2) is a worthwhile addition.

You won't need a wastegate actuator per se, but then I had the ECU remapped and also have an HKS EVC5 boost controller fitted so no worries. Exhaust was fitted before the remap or the boost controller and the car was fine.

Oh,btw, exhaust is not on car as I had a lovely TSL Firestorm system fitted a couple of weeks ago, hence why the mongoose is for sale.

I have this exact system on my classic and can vouch for it being a good exhaust. Its got a nice sound and when the car is warm it flames, which i was impressed with. Good luck with the sale mate

got one on my legacy turbo, very good system, good deep beat, without being to obtrusive.

dont split it btw, mongoose is 3" sleeve fit, think most (or all)others are bolt together sections.

good luck with sale.ian
