Do you know what he's looking for?
Going to buy a JVC DX507 from Heathrow Airport (tax-free) this Wednesday at £549. Is this in the ballpark, realise this is a superior camera etc. tell me if not.

make him an offer mate, sure he doesnt want near full retail. It is virtually new and witht he extras is about 1300s worth, so possibly worth more than 550 2nd hand. But mail him and see what hes looking for.

 

dont go for the JVC the Sony is much better they use a carl ziess lens, have 0 lux which is miles better than JVC nightshot facility and the picture quality is much sharper
your choice though.

Thanks for the comments, but have been pressured by the missus to buy new. Got a bit of a result, the JVC GRDX507 was down to £460 (tax free) at Heathrow, so have bought that one. Not as good as the Sony, I know, but more than good enough for what we require. Need a suction mount now for trackdays etc. Anybody know of a good supplier??

sory to thread rob but robbo - how do you find out the tax free prices (and stock) at the airport before getting there. Want to buy a new camera but don't want to get the airport and find it was cheaper on the net.
