Sold 1996 Subaru Impreza Sti type RA

Here we have for sale my Japanese import 1996 Subaru Impreza WRX Sti type RA which has covered 92000 miles. The Sti RA is a lightweight motorsport model originally designed for group N rallying. It comes with aluminium doors and bonnet, roof vent, thinner glass, manual windows and less sound deadening material. The gearbox has shorter ratios and a driver controlled centre diff which alters the torque in five stages between the front and back wheels. It has a factory fitted intercooler waterspray to aid air intake cooling and a genuine Sti type RA closed deck block engine with fifth injector fitted.

I’ve owned this car for seven years and I am the second owner since it was imported. The car runs great with no smoke or rattles from the engine and the gearbox is smooth and quiet. The bodywork is in good condition, however it does have a couple of small pin ***** dents on the roof and a very small scab of rust on one of the rear arches (it is a 14 year old car!). The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears and has air conditioning (rare for an RA). It has loads of service history mainly from API my local Subaru specialist and a folder of receipts to back this up. The car has a thatcham cat 1 alarm and a tracker fitted, it is taxed a and has a MOT until the end of November.
Over the years the car has picked up a few modifications which include:

17” Wheels , Inovite Tarmac’s with two good ZV3 tyres on the front and two Toyo T1s’s on the rear which will need changing soon.

4 Pot brake callipers from a 2000 sti with braided lines all round and dot 5.1 fluid.

Sti Carbon Fibre strut brace.

Powerflow Full stainless steel exhaust and decat centre section and downpipe. (Original catted downpipe included with sale)
Lightweight flywheel and uprated Exedy clutch fitted 10000 miles ago by API.

3 Autogauge carbon fibre Gauges in a pod on dash for Oil Pressure, Oil temp and Boost.

It is a fantastic car which still feels tight and pulls strong in all gears, it has always been run Shell Opitmax + V power. It is a very regrettable sale due to change in work circumstances.
