Spec
Car is JDM so comes fully specced compared to UK models with Auto Air conditioning, electric folding and adjustable wing mirrors, electric windows all round, PAS, ABS, Remote central locking & immobiliser with remote alarm activation, and active Tracker etc.

Description & History
I bought the car from its original owner 1.6 years ago as an un-abused standard example of a V4 STI. From this point ive maintained its rigorous upkeep and a chosen a select few enhancements at great cost to transform this cars appearance and performance whilst maintaining 100% reliability & safety.

The most costly of which; the Simtek ECU provides duel custom maps for UK V-Power by the reputable Jolly Green Monster. The Simtek is a must for any engine modifications of the EJ20 to ensure Det free running. Along with the increased safety; Simtek also brings to the table: Anti-lag, Launch-control, Det detection & Det alarm, shift light, Duel maps for high and low boost, Maf deletion and many more. This Subaru is custom mapped to a healthy 298.1BHP.

Suspension and handling has also been addressed with a choice selection of upgrades. The collective combination combined with expert setup and corner weighting by API ensures this car handles extremely well. Massive improvement over the stock STI setup. This setup has made the biggest improvement to the car.

Several steps were taken to ensure the integrity of the Engine; API modified oil pump (inc crank seal), new cambelt and regularly serviced using the very best oil Opie Oils could provide. Combined with essential upgrades often missed such as colder plugs, uprated filter & walbro fuel pump has kept this engine in tip top condition with a compliment of gauges to keep an eye on things. Simtek has also removed the fragile MAF. Castrol RBF600 Brake fluid changed regularly.

The car overall is in excellent condition. Ive only had a couple of problems in my last year and a half of ownership, each are well known subaru flaws so no need to worry about them.
1. Steering Rack. Ive replaced the steering rack with one from prodrive (as new - few miles), including new track rods and ends.
2. Top radiator hose. This developed a pinhole, and so ive replaced all coolant hoses with genuine Samco pipes from Merlin Motorsport at Castle Comb.
3. Driver side rocker cover gasket [Feb 2010]

The Bad Points.
I am a perfectionist with my cars. I do hope im not over exaggerating the following, but want to provide an honest advert/overview.

The car shows the signs of its age on its bodywork. There is nothing major; however a few 10p dings, a scratch on the driver wing, a rear bumper scrape (repainted), and a few stone chips would all require attention to make this classic as cosmetically mint as it is mechanically.

The quality of this car will be evident upon viewing, so please don’t be put off.

Sumamry
This is a perfect buy for someone after a well sorted classic, from a genuine enthusiast.

The car looks and drives amazing. I was the first person to see this car when I bought it, was a no brainer. I'm certain the first to see my car now will buy it also.

The car will also come with private number plate ‘S500B CA’

I’m ideally looking for a new Enthusiast to enjoy this car. Im eager to get myself into an M3 so the price is ONO. However I will hold on for a fair price so please no silly offers.

As this is a genuine performance car:

******Please no test pilots, time wasters, canvassers or tyre kickers****

No test drives unless you can prove fully comp cover for the car (not just 3rd party). Otherwise I will drive on the test drive.

£5250

PM or 07855585852

Thanks
Chris

Lovely bud, them BC handling pack do transform the car 100% with a few other tweeks

If i was looking at this i would be wanting to know about the clutch, uprated, to what if so?

Gearbox, syncros, any work carried out with 75k on?

Can clearly see you have maintained to high standard but with no engine re-build and 75k........?

Very nice, all the best bud

Yup ok ill answer those.

Its on the original engine and gearbox. Everything sounds sweet as a nut. No crunches or difficulty with any gears, engine pulls like a good un, no noises and is quite tidy for 12 years old imo.

Clutch is original, i cant see any recipts for it being changed previous to my ownership.

Previous owner is to credit for the mechanical condition (and his wifes parking ability for the cosmetic dings), he had her for 10 years and treated her very well.

I would love to park this car up and build myself a forged unit but i havnt the time at the mo

Oh. its also got aero wipers...

Any questions just ask

If I'm being completlely honest, as a buyer, even though it's modded, it's too much £££. Return it to std and flog bits and std car

It's a fair price for a well sorted car in my view mate. It's just a ****e time to be selling.

If you don't need to sell it urgently, no point getting your pants taken down regarding the price.

Some people are concerned about engine health in a JDM model. One suggestion might be to go and get the engine cylinder's compression checked and report the results. It's still not an assurance of longevity, but if it sounds right, looks right, feels right and the numbers add up, it's extra peace of mind for the buyer and might persuade them to pony up the extra dough!

Good luck.

lol yes im sure m3. the word upgrade is debatable tho. change might be more accurate.

Yeah im sure the car is easy worth that price.

I am considering keeping it, ive still yet to give it that "one last shot at advertising".

Just dont seem to have had the time recently! Ahh well. get to keep the scooby for a couple more weeks/months so aint all bad eh

Right then.

Auto trader ads posted and on a couple of forums i used to use.

Scoobynetter can have it for £5k.

If no takers by the time auto trader runs out then it will be put back to stock or kept.

For 5k this is a rediculous deal...

Just need the right buyer & there's not many interested in buying a well modded scoob - not sure why though as I did! IMHO just keep her advertised, don't drop price too much & she'll sell after a while.

TX.
