very nice looking car and spec but "however the engine could do with a rebuild as it gives a puff of smoke on startup " @12k

Thanks for the comments, If you work out the cost of all the aftermarket bits it is a very good opportunity as the buyer can have it rebuilt to his/her spec and it'll cost less than buying a sti8 and having it brought up to this spec!

Surprised to see this up for sale.

All the best with it. If you decide to break at all, please PM me as I might be after some of those parts!

Looks awesome.

The last 3 Imprezas I have owned have given a puff of smoke on start up, but I never attributed this an engine requiring a rebuild?

Same, mine's always given a puff on startup since i've had it. When it warms it subsides.

Been pushing her hard for 2 years. Running over 400hp too

Thanks for the comments guyz! I would love to keep the car but ive had to cut down on my shifts at work due to the fact that i've gone back to university to further my education hence i could really do with a decent cash injection right now! I'm open to offers if anyone is interested!?

The Puff of smoke is a characteristic of the boxer engine, my last 2 scoobs and my current £60k 997 Turbo does exactly the same! Something to do with horizontally opposed pistons retaining oil residue so no worries there as long as it clears after a few revs!!

£8000 or near offer????

I've been using the car regularly, covered around 1500 miles since the original ad it is still running very well! However it does smoke on startup and would need a rebuild soon, i have aquired a closed deck block that i can include in the sale! I was planning to have it rebuilt but my finances are **** poor at the moment and to top it off my insurance premium has increased by 40% because of a non fault accident in my other car very very upset but it'll have to go as the inurance expires at the end of the month!

Come on people, 8K or nearest offer!

This is a bargain at that price, what with simtek, ksports, s206 etc.

I mean jesus, it's gotta be worth that in breaking alone and some

Car will NOT be broken, it'd be a shame to start ripping bits off it as it is an awesome package!

I do have dyno graphs that i'll try and scan later on, the car was mapped by Martyn at Enginetuner when the new turbo was fitted a few months ago!
