Default UK2000 Very good unmolested condition.

For sale

My classic is a UK2000 Turbo. It was bought by a man as a retirement present to himself. He spent his time between Italy and Surrey and the car was used as a tourer between the two places.
It has been maintained to a very high standard and its factory spec. I mean total factory most of the warning stickers are still on it.

It comes with complete history, even the 1999 sales brochure is in there.
It has stone chips from its motorway journeys but apart from that its lovely.

It still has the black air intake, black wing mirrors and orange grill intakes as per factory, most now days have been colour coded.
The only non standard part is a CD player.
It would be a solid base for a project but if I am honest I would like to htink that someone would continue to maintain it like I have. Its not far off a modern classic, and how many RS turbos, GT turbos etc do you see that are mint now days??

It does have motorway stone chips and a scuff on the bumper, I can provide photos. They dont take away from how nice the car is.

Test drives welcome but you will need to bring your license and insurance

Anyways:
UK2000 Turbo
Green
118k (all documented miles with cambelts done etc)
I think its 217bhp, but its as factory no mods at all
FSH.
Tax
MOT

I have just replaced the standard BOV with a Forge one, The standard one needed to be replaced through age and forge had the best reputation, Anyways it now makes a dump valve sound. I can get a standard one if the buyer does not like the woosh sound.

Dropped the price to £3000 which I believe is a fair price for a well loved clean car.

There is a chance I will swap for a newage (bugeye would be best) with some cash your way.
I will post pictures of the (perfect) engine tomorrow and more detailed ones of the seats.

Thanks for the offer but at the moment I will have to say no. I am looking for a diesel or if its petrol then a golf.
You should get a swap for a focus though, loads of people buy Imprezas and shortly after realise how much they cost to run and need a swap for a good daily car.
For the record I think a focus is a top daily car too, cant really fault them.

Where abouts are you located, and would you be interested in a possible trade for a 1.8T Mk4 Golf GTi?

Hi Tim,

Sorry to take so long to get back to you. My car is a professionally tuned 1.8T (230BHP), black 5 door Mk4 GTi.

Despite it happily doing 44MPG on a good run, i'm not sure this is the kind of car you're after? Also, it's worth more than your asking price, so it's perhaps better me selling it first, then if you still have this for sale contacting you then.

Thanks

Hi,
Thats fine, It does sound great but I dont want to add any cash to a deal. I am sure you will have no problem selling it and of course I am always happy to allow test drives etc on mine if you want.

Cheers

Dont worry to much about the mileage, Its all about the service history!!! It drive perfectly, really tight and feels like it will go for another 100k. No knocks, rattles or smoke at all.
I had the car for 3500 originally ( many have sold for this price in this condition) I could move a tiny bit on the price but it would only be a tiny bit, its a really good car and worth every penny!

Thanks Tim. Number was the same as the previous one you gave me so perhaps there's a fault with your phone or something. I'll try again this evening.

I would love to do a swap with you mate, but I know I could get at least £3500 for mine so would sooner sell it and have yours with £500 in my pocket. Im sure you would be the same.
You seem a top guy so good luck with the sale, and good luck to me winning £3000 on a scartch card or selling my car :-)

Hi
The cambelt has been changed twice in the life of the car, Once at 50k ish and again at 90k.
I do like your golf but I am after a diesel really as the goal is to get a cheap to run daily hack.
