2.5 STI Type R
Due to a change of plans with my company car I have decided to sell my Fantastic Impreza STI TYPE R modified with a 2.5 STI Engine Conversion with Full supporting Upgrades and Professionally Mapped on an Apexi Power FC.

Engine/Performance
Ex Roger Clark Motorsport supplied 2.5 STI (EJ257) bottom end fitted June 08
550 Injectors
HKS Hi Power Exhaust - Complete 3” Decat Turbo Back System
Unequal Length heat wrapped Tubular Headers
Induction kit
Front Mounted Intercooler with I/C water spray
Uprated Oil Pump
Walbro 255 l/hr Fuel Pump
Lightened Flywheel
Apexi Power FC with Commander
Ultralite A-Tech 17"x7.5" with Toyo Proxes T1-R's all round
STI Front Strut Brace
STI Version 6 Red Shocks and Springs – 4 wheel Alignment to Fast Road spec by ABP Motorsport done Feb 09
New Graham Goode Racing supplied Discs and Pads fitted Feb 09
2.5 STI engine expertly fitted and mapped by Chy at Pennine Subaru. Rolling Roaded recently, running fine and produced 342BHP and 390lb/ft of Torque.
Those figures are easily achievable with the 2.5 without pushing things at all, in fact, At my request, its running a very safe and conservative map, so there is more performance to come if you wish with a simple remap. God only knows why you would want more because as you can imagine its an awesome beast as is and I’m personally happy with it!
Exterior
Genuine P1 Rear Spoiler with carbon insert
STI Version 5 front bumper with fog covers
STI Version 5 deep front Grille
Crystal Headlights
Crystal Sidelights
Crystal Indicators
Crystal Side Repeaters
Interior
STI V-Limited Blue Seats embossed with the “STI – Subaru World Rally Team” Logo
Centre Gauge Pod with
Oil Pressure Gauge

Additional Lamco Boost Gauge
High end Pioneer MP3 cd player with Ipod connection
Pioneer Door Speakers
Pioneer Rear Shelf 6x9’s Speakers
Cat 1 Security
Standard Type R Features
2 Door Body
DCCD (Drivers controlled Central Differential)
Twin calliper rear brakes
Rear wash wipe
Elecy Windows\Central Locking\Air Con\Twin airbags
Electrically Folding Mirrors

The majority of the major work has been done in the last 12 months during my ownership, including the 2.5 Fitting and Mapping, Suspension and Alignment and Brakes.
Mileage is currently 75400 and the 2.5 Engine Conversion was done just under 4000 miles ago. Obviously the Cambelt, Oil Pump, Fluids, etc were all done with the engine change and an addition Oil and Filter change has just been done.
The Callipers have just been completely overhauled with new seals, etc and brand new Discs and Pads fitted.
Mapped for V-Power and filled up with nothing else. Always warmed up and cooled down. Everything monitored via the Gauges and Apexi FC Commander Display (Lots of Monitoring options on the Apexi screen). Big folder of receipts and history including all old MOT’s. Always washed, cleaned and kept garaged.
The Type R is obviously a great car anyway but this one really has been turned into a serious bit of kit, but with the latest 2.5 STI bottom end, with all the latest internals, fitted and safely mapped, so no engine issues that can blight the standard STI’s of this age.
Looks wise the White Type R is stunning enough anyway and this is a beautiful car in really excellent condition all round with some nice and subtle enhancements with the likes of the Ultralite A-Techs, Spoiler, V-Limited Seats, Gauges, Pioneer gear, etc.
Cheap Tax too!!! It’s a Version 4 on a R plate and date of first uk registration is December 2000 so it will always be on the cheapest rate of Impreza tax, currently £185 for 12 months. HPI clear. Taxed. And it was due, so recently MOT’d for 12 months.
I will take serious buyers only out for a run, but if you’d like to drive it yourself you'll need proof of insurance.
I’ve seen cars at this level of modification with the 2.5, etc go for around 10K but in the current climate that’s not realistic, so I’m asking for £SOLD.
Myself and the previous owner spent a serious amount in time and money on this car so please consider what you are getting here, a Type R with a STI 2.5 with all right names, HKS, Apexi, etc, done by the right people, API and Pennine. (Also remember an engine rebuild on a standard 2.0 could cost you in the region of £2-3k).
Cheers, Carl.

What are you doing?! Good luck with the sale. I can vouch for Carl looking after his motors, just wish you weren't selling this one mate
