Post 03 STI Type UK PPP (REDUCED!)

Unfortunately it's time to part with my Scooby But my loss will be someone else is gain as it is a fantastic car in A1 condition

It is an Obsidian Pearl Black Subaru Impreza Sti Type UK. It comes with full Subaru service history and only 35,000 miles on the clock. I am only the second owner from new.

It was fitted with the Prodrive performance pack from new, upping the car to 305 bhp. It also comes with the Prodrive Pff7 wheels. Other extras include prodrive springs, STI strut brace (front and rear), STI mudflaps, and front lip spoiler. Included with the car is the Kenwood MP3/Multi stack CD/Radio player I purchased to replace the rather lame standard Subaru sound system.

The car can only be described as immaculate inside and out, there are no scratches, dents or scuffs to be seen. It has never been smoked in. I am only the second owner, and can vouch that the car has never been thrashed or tracked. It has been well and truly looked after.

Any other questions please feel free to contact me.

If you want to give me a call you can contact me on 07810 837155

Priced at £11,650 ono.

Response is poor. Is this a fair price?

Its got the PPP, PFF7's, front splitter, prodrive springs, quickshift etc. I have the car advertised at £12,400 ono which I thought was a fair price. If i go much lower it isn't worth selling!

Best bet bud is to look on pistonheads at the prices that they seem to be selling for.

Im not taking anything else away from the car, because it looks immaculate, its in a very nice colour (same as mine) and i think they are very reliable and quick cars, but, for the money, someone could pick up a modified one with a lot of extras, as I said, don't take it the wrong way, but its fairly standard, Ive got a feeling it could be 1-1.5k overpriced......which is a travesty, but its not a sellers market.

Some I found (03)

Subaru : IMPREZA WRX STI PPP TYPE UK 305BHP PRODRIVE

Subaru : 2004 STI PPP

Subaru : 2004 Impreza STI PPP

I hear what you are saying mate. Although out of the ones you have picked out only one is type uk (which has a good 10,000 miles extra on its clock than mine) and imports are generally much cheeper to buy.

As you said it is a very slow market at the moment but I no way would I let the car go for £11k. I would keep it for that price. I guess I will have to keep on trying!

Tbh mate, the imports are actually better cars, stronger internals, twin scroll turbo, better all round car.

Best bet is to see how it goes, everyone wants somethign for nothing, my 03 sti ppp has had 3.5k spent on it since I got it nearly 3 months ago, at the end of the day, I know Ill never recoup what Ive laid out....keep the scoob mate

I paid £10.5k in April last year for an 03 plate STI with PPP.

I am considering a jump back to an STI but for 13k i would be looking for a 05/55 plate.

Best of luck with your sale.

Hi Nick,

The car comes with full Subaru Service history and has had its major 30,000 service carried out. All relevant paper work comes with the car e.g PPP certificate. I am based in Anglesey, North Wales and you are more than welcome to arrange a viewing. Any further questions feel free to get back to me.

Cheers

Dan

What a shame, I'm from Kent (South East London). It's just too far to travel.

All the best with the sale though.

I got offered £7400 px for the same reg and spec as yours, it would have sold at 10K privately but not worth getting rid of at that price.

Exactly mate. I am in no hurry to sell my car and am not desperate for the cash, therefore I am not going to sell for peanuts! I would rather keep the car then sell at a measly and rather ridiculous £10k!.

There are a lot of guys coming on hear saying that they have been offered a low mileage STI Type UK PPP for less than £10k. Personally I would be very suspicious and wary of such a car. I have found that a lot of these at the cheaper end of the market have had quite a few previous owners. A no no for me

Id hold out mate, there's no point selling for peanuts, thing is selling these sort of cars is with petrol/tax/insurance now days its a slow market as everyone knows, so you get the chancers offering very low prices thinking your desperate. Im going through the same thing as you Ive got my Evo 6 up for £10.5k and there are tatty imports going for £8.5k-9k, people automatically think that they should all be that price and offer stupid money, thing is if your car is in mint conditon im sure someone will offer the asking price!!

Good luck with the sale

If you are someone that understands Subaru's you will find that £10k for a low mileage 03 Sti Type UK PPP (In black) with PFF7 wheels is definitely peanuts. It is idiots like you who interrupts threads that expects to get something for nothing!

Good luck nice car
So true,

This car for sale here has 35k, there is a 55 plate STI hawkeye with 50k on this forum up for £12500. Yes it has more miles but it's a single owner car which is 3 years newer and 50k is hardly high. There are to many 03 STI's flooding the market at 10k and less and loads of 04/05 models at 12k.

An 04 plate Type 25 sold on pistonheads just Thursday for 12k. gutted i missed out on that one.!

I really do wish you best of luck selling your car.

Its a fair price to you mate, and fair enough, its you that paid for it in the first place, but the bottom line is, it isn't selling and like a poster above mentioned, a hawkeye sti can be picked up for a little more.

It is **** that its come down to this, but the fact of the matter is that interest is gonna be limited at what your asking, if you can afford to keep it then thats what id do, if you need it gone, then the price needs reviewing.

Sorry to be blunt, and I hope Im very wrong and you sell it for what you've put it up for, but I think you'll struggle.

This car was sold to me and worth every penny that i paid for it, an absolute minter and a credit to the previous owner who i have to say was brilliant to deal with as the car was in Wales and i live in Ireland...
