The car was given a huge service and check over by George and John at Extreme in Whitburn when we bought the car including the timing belt (Gates belt used). The crank seal failed a few months later and the belt was replaced again by Extreme.

Since then little has gone wrong. The radiator failed 4 months ago and one of the rocker cover gaskets was replaced as it was weeping. This was sorted by Chris at East Linton Services. Since then the oil has been changed every 6000 miles using Millers 10w60 or Silkolene 10w50. A new genuine Subaru filter and sump washer was used each time.

The car is always warmed up and cooled down properly, gets everything it needs and is regularly washed, polished and waxed. It has started every day 1st turn of the key and has never given any major hassle. The engine is standard apart dump valve and the bodywork is standard apart from wheels which were changed from 17” Prodrive Speedlines to allow 4 pots to fit. The bodywork is in very good condition for its age, but an inspection will confirm this.

The car was recently Dyno tested at Dastek at 226.7bhp and 222ft/lb torque.

The car is reluctantly for sale after nearly two years of fabulous ownership but a twice weekly 100 mile round trip to Fife is racking the miles up too quickly and I need something cheaper to run. The other half has a WR1 so I will still get my Scooby kicks!

The car is located near Haddington, East Lothian and viewing is welcome most evenings and weekends. The car can also be viewed near Dunfermline, Fife if that is more convenient.
