hello mate... as far as bhp goes.. the car was standard when i bought it earlier this year.. since then i've fitted a k&n filter and it's had a full revolution stainless steel exhaust fitted... this includes a full de-cat. revolution claim this will up power by up to 40bhp.. filter maybe 10bhp? so should be around 270bhp.. it feels fast enough to me.. a good re-map will up this much further.. dropped price last week, looking for around £6500 now.. hope this is of some help... cheers...

its not the car mate, just sold mine today my99.
the car will sell, the right buyer will come along.
be aware that most people on snet think that all cars are overpriced lol and that they should be given away.
have you tried putting the car up on pistonheads?

Think you will find that the mileage on that car is about right for its age, not high at all.
And I stand by what I said, especially about most people on Snet wanting something for nothing.

So why pay out more for a UK car with higher millage?
I think thats more the reason its not sold and yeah the millage may be right for the year but the price isnt other wise it would have sold
It is a very nice looking motor though I do have to say

I see your point, obviously if someone was looking at two identical cars, one had 70k on the clock and the other only had 20k on the clock and the prices were the same its a no brainer.
Having said that though, its not like this car has done 150k miles.
Yesterday I sold my my99 uk turbo, on 57k miles for 7k, people will pay for a well looked after car.
Also, take a look in autotrader for a car with similar performance for the same price range, I doubt there will be many decent cars to choose from.

I don't think its over priced at all. Problem on here is most already have a Scoob. Hold out to the end of January when people have a bit more wedge. Classic prices seem to have seemed firmer recently looking at Autotrader and the like. Good luck.

really appreciate all your comments.... ive had the car a year now and its only going to fund an STI... the car's mint in every way... ive tracked prices in auto-trader and ive tried to price it slightly lower than all of them of a similar spec... i'll also try pistonheads.. thanks chaps...

hello chaps.. car is up for sale again due to a timewaster backing out at lastminute.... the car is still stored in a dry garage, checked over and run regularly.. it really is in mint condition and would be a shame to miss out on if you're looking for a standardish looking uk car to modify or just drive... any queries feel free to mail me on andywalton30@hotmail.com

Pistonheads
Hi mate,
If it helps i really do recommend getting the car on pistonheads. I advertised my car here and on Pistonheads and didn't get any interest from Scoobynet, but it went in a week on Pistonheads. Feel free to use the format of my advert wording if you need, my advert is still up in this section somewhere on the 2nd page under MY98 PPP Turbo.
I think you are asking a fair price as well someone should snap that up
good luck
Ash

I dont know why scoobs arent selling. I gave up trying to sell mine. I had 2 calls in 3 months. Im just going to keep it and when i need to trade it in. Best of luck with your sale though. Piston heads does seem the way to go!

I think its that you can buy a new car for the same money your selling your used cars thats putting folk off and its not just Scoobs that don't sell its anything with 4 wheels Im afraid
I think that secound hand car values will keep droping due to cheap new cars and then don't forget the Import market is also cripling the sale price its bad news for those selling but its good news for those buying
Now all we need is for House prices to do the same lmao

Good luck mate! I traded mine in yesterday against a lovely black octavia VRS. I got 5.5k so def try and sell it if you can. I wont be sorry to see my scoob go though. For me the cost of running it out weighed the fun of driving it. Hope the sale goes well! Fingers crossed!
