Selling a 97 STi Type R in blue. The car has panel damage and requires both front wings and ns door, plus o/s rear suspension. Both rear qtrs have light damage and will repair. Its only done 79k kms (49k mls), its an import unregistered, still runs and was in good condition pre accident.
The front is square, bonnet, lights and bumper are undamaged. It is completely standard with 555 seats, DCCD, i/c spray, raised spoiler, etc.

if not i thought there was no model report?
so its just for trackdays etc
nice cars the type R's i would bring a few in if i thought i could get them registered

I apologise in advance for sounding stupid, but can someone expain all this to me?

I would be interested in buying this and getting it back on the road, is this something that I can do or is this type r model only allowed on track, I'm sure I have seen these on the roads though. Please explain to me.

 

I checked with VOSA and was told there is no model report which can used to register the car. They said the only way to register it for the road is to go through a 'noise and emmissions test' and then go through an SVA without requiring a model report. I don't know much more about the process you would have to check for your self. I will consider offers for the car, if it doesnt sell i will have to break it, will be a shame as its so nice! Also been told that as it has 555 seats and a rally championship badge, it is probably a v limited.
