Light panel damage but classed as repairable, albeit uneconomic.
In this case though I spoke to the previous owner before I bought it who said that the damage (front nearside) wasn't too bad and was meant to be repaired. However he had an insurance policy which replaced the car with a brand new one if the vehicle was written off within its first two years. As it was only 22 months old at the time of his accident he refused to have it repaired and held his ground until the insurance co. gave in and thus he got a brand new replacement. The repair was fairly strightforward (wing, inner wing, bonnet headlight etc) as confimed by the body shop who I bought the car off two years ago for my wife to use.
It has been perfect since then with no faults other than a dickie interior light switch and a badly fitted door seal, both of which were replaced under manufacturers warranty.
