Exclamation Sorted UK MY99 - 310BHP - £6500 o.n.o.

It is with great regret I am having to sell the somewhat infamous "Puff the Magic Wagon" car.

MY99 T reg, 101k miles, Met Green, £6500 including 12 spare alloys, 34 spare track tyres, uprated adjustable suspension, 4 pot Brembo brake kit with new discs, 300bhp+.

This is the car that has belonged to the Scoobynet moderator of the same name for 5 years and I bought from him just 4 months ago. It has been carefully, skillfully and tastefully improved by him since new and has been, without doubt, the best car I have ever owned.

The ONLY reason I am selling it is because I have been offered a job in New York which is a once in a lifetime opportunity so I am having to sell all my worldly belonings and leave for 2 years. I even sold my Caterham before Christmas.

This is to be sold as a package, no splitting because I do not have the time to start messing around with it.

See the link to the original advert placed on Scoobynet which I responded to and ended up buying.

http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=350832

Since buying the car I have

- fitted 3 port boost solenoid
- ECU remap by Pat Herborn
- Replaced the front discs and bells (£450) and pads
- had the 97,500 service done by Cool new (at about 99k)
- Had Geo and Allignment done by Atlanta Motorsport
- replaced power steering belt and pulley
- Mileage now 101k

I have 'cut and paste' the original advert below with minor additions and amendments.

Full Service History (Dealer til warranty out, Scoobysport & Cool New)

New Engine @ 77,500 (due to MAF failure)
Janspeed Up Pipe
SS Down Pipe
Prodrive DeCat Centre
Prodrive Backbox
VF35 turbo ( http://www.wrc-tech.co.uk/subaru-04s...bochargers.htm )
ECUTek3
Walbro f/pump & regulator
3 port solenoid
K&N Panel Filter

Remapped when 3 port solenoid went on (Nov 2004), Now over 300BHP, 300 ft/lb. Ran 13.4@99 in recent ScoobyShootout on 2 port & boost creep - should be good for high 12s. This car has NOT been remapped to within an inch of the engine's tolerence so it maintains longevity and reliability.

(New MAF @ 77500 & Lamda Sensor @ 80,000)

Quickshift - I love this !

Leda B Suspension- rears rebuilt last year - new springs all round

Cusco Lower Front Brace (4 pt)
Cusco Top Front Brace
Cusco Lower Rear Brace (needs fitting)
6pt Bolt in Cage (inc diagonal) - currently not fitted, only fit for track days.

SS Brembo/AP brake kit - Currently with new set of Pagids but would recommend changing to something more road biased

3 sets of MY99 5 spoke alloys, i.e. 12 alloys, (plus the 5x P1 alloys fitted), you could probably get a full set of 4 spotless original alloys out of these 12.

Assortment of 34 part used tyres, 12 of which are currently fitted to the spare alloys. 8 of these tyres are proper racing slicks

P1 Oz Anthracite 17s (x5 though the spare is a bit manky)
P1 Lip Spoiler (genuine but a bit scratched/chipped on the underside)
P1 HID Spotlights - Incredibly bright !
P1 Lamp Covers

Clear Side Repeaters
Clear Front Indicators

SECS 1003 Monitor http://www.powerstation.org.uk/secs.asp
Towbar + electrics (original dealer fit, almost never used)
Roof Bars
Plastic Tray for Boot

Knocklink stealth fit

Powerflex ARB mounts
Powerflex Solid Droplinks

RAC Trackstar

Air-Con

ABS Cut-off switch (for snow)

ALSO INCLUDED
original TD04 Turbo (OE) if wanted
OE Springs with 20k use, if wanted
miniture Lambda Link, not fitted
Subaru Ice Detector, not fitted

This is a genuine great car and I will miss it.
Whos interested ?

This is a hell of a lot of car for the money. A true bargain, no catches, I just need to sell quickly.

Really sorry to see this as Andy is a great enthusiast & it was a total pleasure to sell to him

Plus he was kind enough to let me share a drive with him @ Brands Hatch just before Xmas

Car was running sweet and smooth

Any advice, questions or anything about this car's previous (to Andy's) history, please feel free to contact me (or search SN ).

Ah, well used once then. I used it to pull a small box trailer from Gatwick to cambridge and back (and I got 280 miles out of a single tank that day with 3 passengers and a boot full of suitcases !! Its amazing what you can achieve if you drive everywhere at 60)

Custom - Thanks for the positive words, this is defo alot of car for the money.

I am sure it will find another loving home

Wink

The car is a Legend, and first track day I did in my car, it was flying around the track. No problems keeping up with the P1s and even a 22b. It certainly wasn't as moded as it is now

I sold a few tyres to puff, so maybe a few of them were mine

I think the price is very cheap for what your getting

Good luck with the sale mate.

ah, Ian, that was you. I thought you were looking at me a bit strangely, thanks for the kind words but it could do with a wash at the moment.

Lowell, you have PM re insurance contact.

Tesco's
Frizells
London Victoria
NFU (but age might interfere here)

Also depends what you call reasonable...

& don't worry about being old - it comes soon enough

You obviously didn't see mine then! It was the last car i was expecting to see coming towards me in the local area! hence the double take looks.

I wouldn't be able to comment on your precise situation, such as where you live, driving record etc but I had £850 when I lived in East London but was 35.

What you getting quoted?

Ok I will be out of the country now until Friday 4th Feb ( I am going appartment hunting in NYC :-) )so I wont be able to respond to any PM or email or any questions (but I am sure Puff will be happy to field any questions about the car if need be).

However, feel free to post here if you are interested and I shall respond as soon as I return.

Cheers

I am back at home now and slightly disappointed to see there are not a flock of interested people fighting a path to my door.

I know it has been said for years, but I I really think this is a bad place to sell Subarus because all the members already have one.

Oh well, Autotrader on Sunday if no body bites this weekend.

PTMW, I really don't think you have to worry about that mate, if I understand Chav culture correctly they simply wouldn't buy a wagon....it'd have to be the saloon!

BTTT for a great Scooby!
