Post 1999 Sti5 Type RA V-Limited £10,950

Hi All

Need a quick sale of my much loved Scoob.

Blue (of course) 1999 on a ‘V’ plate
Low miles at just 34,000 – 32,000 of them in my hands.
Brand new engine at 27k (cost £7,000) by Barrett’s Motorsport with new brake disks, greenstuff pads, new air flow meter and motorsport oil pump.
Excellent condition – only damage is one small key mark which is pretty light.
Usual spec includes Roof Vent, Variable Centre Diff, LSD front and rear, blue STi front seats, air-con, electric windows and no girly ABS, traction control etc.
It has the Sti quick rack and superb RA short gearing.
Intercooler spray, Tall rear wing
Standard apart from HKS dump valve, turbo timer, air filter and Super Dragger decat exhaust (sounds superb!)
18” Radius R1 alloys (fronts need refurbishment)
Brand New 215/225 Toyos all round.
P1 Suspension
Autowatch Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser.
One years MOT, 5 months tax,
Full service history, mostly Barretts Motorsport

I bought this car with 2,600 japanese miles on it from Warrenders in Bolton. When the engine failed at 27k (the old oil pump problem…) the whole engine was rebuilt at a cost of nearly £7,000. The only original part which could be used was the block and it was fitted with the motorsport oil pump to make sure that it doesn’t happen again! I’ve always run on super unleaded, Optimax usually. It was featured and timed in Banzai magazine where it trounced a dozen other scoobs including a stock 22b and a P1 (0-60 in 4.41secs, 100 in 11.77secs, ¼ in 13.19secs) but has never been near a track day.

This is a ferociously fast car in really good order. A real drivers car which I’ve used primarily as a toy for weekends. The V-Lims are the most challenging and fastest of the classic Scoobs, unless you find a 22b – even more thrilling than a regular Sti. I’ve fitted P1 suspension which absolutely transformed the car – it’s now way faster and sure footed on wet and bumpy roads and also goes a way to taming the diff.

I really need to sell it, so it’s available at £10,950 and it goes in Autotrader next week.

If ya need to know more, or want to see the car, call me. Russ 07970 930998

Russ.

The RA's are very quick indeed, and theres not much that can beat them on the road. "Not for the faint hearted" springs to mind I regret getting rid on my V6 Sti Type RA, best car I've ever had. Good luck with the sale m8

Sound like a nice car, not exactly an accurate quote.

However, it is worth mentioning that it has exactly the same drivetrain (Engine, ECU power etc) as the non V-Limited Type R/RA. So parts are not that hard to find.

Except: ... that it has a taller 5th Gear (bit of a step, but 22mph/1000 so better cruising at 4000rpm which is the real benefit) and normally a quick ratio steering rack too which helps on the twisties.

They are also nice and blue

Shame you weren't selling summer next year. I'd have had it off you then.

THIS is the most amazing Scooby money can buy.

I had the very same car,not a V spec to be fair, but it is untouchable by any other std and some modded Imprezas.
Eats 600cc bikes, p1's,cossies the lot.
Never had a car that can spin all four wheels up too fourth in the wet!!!!!

Buy it, buy it, buy it!!! Its Toooooooooooo cheap as well.

Hope it goes to a good home Russ

Not want a 300hp Bugeye in place of it?? LOL
