*****REVISED PRICE******
I just got back from a dealership and have ordered a new car, so the offer of p/ex is no longer applicable.
However, the dealer has offered me £11,250 for the CTR and it will be getting traded in as soon as the new car is ready.
If anyone wants an opportunity to grab a bargain, then offers over the trade in price and the car is yours.
I'd rather get a couple of hundred quid over the trade in price in a private sale, as opposed to the dealer making a grand + at my expense!
Also, if I shift the car privately then it gives me a bit better bargaining power over the new car/extras etc.
The new car is ready on Wednesday 24th November so £11,500 and you can drive this car away!!!
The car -:
Honda Civic Type R
52 plate, Satin Silver
30k miles
Immaculate bodywork
4 new alloys under warranty due to corrosion on spokes
4 new tyres
FHSH
Remainder of manufacturer's warranty
Type R mats
S2000 Start button
Numbered alloy tax disc holder
Recent new front pads
1 previous owner
A perfect example
WAS £12,500 ono

cheaper CTR's out there mate, i'd take what the dealer has offered. not bad price.

I am aware that there are cheaper ones out there, but there are also ones the same age/mileage as mine for £13-£14k.
If you want to buy one at £10k, then so be it, but the old adage..... you only get what you pay for, and I wouldn't be too keen on the £10k ones.
Like I mentioned in all my posts, I WILL be accepting what the dealer has offered when the new car is ready, I was just giving folk the opportunity to get a cracking example at trade money.
Thanks for your "help"

New car coming this Wednesday.... The dealers p/ex offer has dropped to £11,250 since last month, so £11,500 and you can drive this car away, but you'd need to be quick!

Just checked Honda.co.uk and they have 3 used 2002 models at present -:
02 plate with 24k miles - £13k
52 plate with 21k miles - £14k
52 plate with 25k miles - £13.3k
Surely £11.5k for this minter is a steal?
Anyway, it'd need to be a pretty rapid sale now since its going away on wednesday.
