Lightbulb MY99 UK Turbo. **WALLPOP, NOW £6,500**

UPDATE
Holy moly, this has gotta be shifted sharpish! Dropped the price due to tumbleweed to a staggering £6,500.

Price dropped to stupidly low £7k, grab yerself a great deal, hell you could even buy this car and resell it tomorrow and make £500.

UPDATE:
Ello again,

Q: whats the catch?
A: None, you get a great car, I get a quick sale.

Q: So if you want a sale that quick then I bet you'll lower the price right?
A: Wrong. I Won't drop the price any further because if you dont buy it, the next guy definately will.

Q: Ok you've got my attention, what should I do so I can steal this from under your nose and spend the £500 on Optimax?
A: Email me at mattmos@hotmail.com

To however buys the car, congrats, you've just beaten the rest to an awesome deal. Shirt off my back is not part of the deal!

All original details below.

-------orig post-------

Hello ladies and gents,

I've seen these posts before on this site before but I never thought I'd make a contribution.

Due to the current housing market (house prices strapped to a rocket) and the desire for myself and the missus to start nest building I'm forced to place my Scoob on the market.

You can view some pictures here:
http://onfinite.three10.com/home/mattmos/album/42973/

Here's the details:
  • 1998 2.0 litre Turbo. (1998, nicer interior, white dials on the dash and twin airbags introduced)
  • UK Spec (low insurance, easier for parts and servicing)
  • Mid height spoiler. (not the low lobster style, but the one that sits in the middle of the rear view and lets everyone else behind you know that you have a bl**dy powerful car)
  • Silver (like a bullet)
  • Full Service History (wouldnt expect anything less would you?)
  • ABS (almost able to stop on a sixpence)
  • Cat1 alarm/Immobilisor (luckily I never caught anyone trying to steal my Scoob)
  • Twin airbags (aka. comfy crash pillows that lets the girlfriend know you care about her too)
  • Electric Windows (popularised in any 80's american cop show)
  • Electric Mirrors (lets you act like a chameleon in traffic jams)
  • Remote control central locking (including blip blip noises)
  • CD/Radio (loud, lots of lights, can get all the stations including Radio 4, which is nice)
  • 16" Subaru alloys (lovingly scrubbed)
  • Air conditioning (just whats required in this Indian summer...)
  • Non standard exhaust (although this hasnt affected my insurance, but purrs/barks and makes children pee their pants)
  • Regularly serviced
  • Oil changed this week (because I don't want to sell it thinking that Happy Shopper oil might be thrown in)
  • 85,000 miles.
  • 3 Months MOT reamining.
  • 9 Months Tax.
Superb drive, no really I mean it. It's awesome, it sounds great, it sticks to the road, it's beautiful to drive with the power steering, 4WD and short shift gear lever. It leaves Porsches and Nova's standing, it makes the pretty girls turn their heads and the kids ask if they can park it for you (this has happened to me....twice)

This is a lovely car that has been looked after and were it not for the needs of a house you wouldnt be able to part the keys from me unless you brought thumb screws.

And now the bit you've all been waiting for...how much???

now £6,500 no offers

Myself and the car are based on the south coast. Inbetween Brighton and Portsmouth and easy to get to from London. If you are interested in buying and would like further pics or information please email me at mattmos@hotmail.com. However, If you are someone who is canvassing please do not hesitate to bu**er off (you know who you are, one week its been in Autotrader and Im flooded with 'buyers waiting, just pay £80 offers' no more I tell you, no more!). If you are not interested in buying the car but would like more pictures then thats cool but let me know by marking your email 'Ere Mister can I have a butchers'

p.s. I will consider part/ex for a big house in Surrey.

Despite the joking above this is a serious sale and it's a great price for a great car.

I think youll be better off advertising it as a MY99, even though it was registered in 1998 its still a MY99, which has a few changes from a MY98!

By the look of it, its worth pointing out this is the MY99 model so you'd get:

1. 215 bhp instead of 208 bhp
2. 4 pot brakes instead of 2 pots
3. Crystal headlights and fogs
4. No piston slap
5. A silver Momo logo on the stearing wheel opposed to a black one
6. Mid level spoiler opposed to lower version.

All in all that looks a right bargain.

Yup you're right, it is MY99 but I cant change the bloody subject header! LOL.And you're right about it being a bargain, it's worth so many more pennies, but I want it sold asap! So come on then people, who's gonnna take 'The Silver Shark' (my pet name for her hehe). Im no car salesman thats for sure but if I'd seen this car for this price when I started looking I'd have bitten the guys arm off.....erm I've confused myself now! Right Im off.

eh...no interest? You could buy this car and sell it straight away to make a profit. Oh well, onto Autotrader it must go then. Bizarre, thought this would be snapped as its very underpriced and a great example of a classic scoob.

car is worth £8k, I want £7,200, certainly not seen any as cheap as this for this spec and quality.

Default *sigh*

erm.... remind me to post a similar link if you're ever selling a car. Whatever you've seen though won't be the same spec as mine (yer link doesnt work). Probably 94 or a sport model.

Think on...

Cant believe that this car is down to this price.......

I will be sorely tempted when I sell my Civic, however, at that price I doubt this car will stay un-sold for long!!

BTTT......

Cheers,
Grant

Sorry to hear that mate.....

Never nice selling to trade!! Just cant believe that it never sold at the price you eventually dropped to!!

Defo one of the best deals I have seen on the Forum for a long long time IMO.

Cheers,
Grant
