New Era Imports write-up:
2000 (Possibly Aug - 2B Confirmed) Impreza WRX Type R Sti Version 6 V-Limited. No 520/1000.

This is a rare opportunity to get one of the last Type R Imprezas made. Sti 6 includes a slightly different rear spoiler to standard, with a revised from lip spoiler.

Sti 6 V-Limited (Type R) Spec also includes: Blueprinted Sti engine with "at least" 280 bhp, close ratio gearbox with adjustable bias centre differential, Quick Steering rack by Sti (Standard on these), Sti signature 4 piston brake callipers, Special Sti Interior with blue 555 front seats, rally style roof vent, Momo Steering wheel with SRS airbag, Lamco (Subaru Dealer Option) Steering Column mounted boost gauge, Subaru original fitted mats. This car has been treated to a set of 12 spoke 17" Rally Sparco lightweight alloy forged alloys (Complete with 4 near new tyres of size 215/45/ZR17 ). Standard Sti shock absorbers & Springs are fitted. Exhaust is an Apexi unit, from the catalyst all the way to the back. Sounds awesome, without being excessively loud.

The standard STI exhaust system is inside the boot and included free of charge with this car. Note also that no hifi is fitted to this example. Just a blanking plate. Mileage is: 45,172 miles from new, Usual spec of P/S, P/W, A/W, Climate Control A/C, Power Mirrors, central locking, etc.

The car has evidently lived a pampered life from new. Interior is in immaculate condition, with no faults whatsoever to report. The lack or damage from fast road use to intercooler (Rain or Debris flying in at over 100 mph usually flattens the fins slightly) serves to confirm this has been a well cared for and not hard used example, further confirmed by the relatively low amount of wear to brake discs relative to the mileage.

Auction grade is 4. Condition is superb externally. There are some stone chips on the bonnet and front bumper, also a 1cm scratch on the bottom corner of the driver's door. Finally, a pin dent on the passenger's door. Although these may not warrant respraying the affected panels, we will have these faults touched in professionally, so the car's immaculate upon completion.

This is only the 3rd example of this model of STI 6 we have ever supplied. V-Limited models are probably the most sought after of all Imprezas and known by the afficionados as being the best of all the Type R models.

NOTE: No more STi6 Imprezas will be imported to the UK for the foreseeable future, now that the "disabled loophole" has been closed by VOSA.

The "disabled loophole" was closed as of 1 April 2004, so only STI 6 Imprezas for which SVA tests were pre booked prior to 1 April 2004 will be able to undergo SVA test without a model report. Therefore, we will not be able to buy any further STI 6 examples for stock until a model report becomes available.

PRICE:
£19,995

Very nice , I'm looking at buying a P1 but this seems very tempting. Obviously you're opinion will quite rightly be biased towards your own car but could you give me a hint it would compare to a P1.

Thanks.

Faster, properly mapped to UK fuel, lots of goodies like the DCCD box. One of the BEST looking Scoobys ever, quick steering rack etc. etc.

Mate, no contest

This car would destroy a P1 in every department IMO. If i had the money i would of bought it yesterday to use as my every day drive, sadly i dont, so wont.

The type R like peccys is IMO an ecellent car.

Looks, better than P1, ie not been uk-ified
Handling, better due to adjustable centre diff
Performance, better due to the 2.5 engine, which is a dream to drive (i have one)

Just my view.

Good luck with the sale Dave, and seriously, if i had the money, i would have rang you yesterday to buy it.

No, didnt need one for the insurance company i am with, although is fitted with a clifford concept 500 cat 1 with blackjax and blue LED

regarding the comparison with a P1, i was in the same situation 6month ago, the only + point with a P1 was some still had some warranty left, but now most have expired there is no comparison.

Selling for a house?
Give it a few months and the house prices will drop (according to the economists) so you can keep your car and have a house

Tony

PS, forget about that blueprinted STi engine lark, none of them are (except the grp A rally cars which need stripping every 500 miles )

Just covered my STi with A-Plan as they came in £100 cheaper than Liverpool Victoria and they agreed to mirror my NCB with my MX-5 as well Worth a go anyway IMHO.
