If someone wanted to go back to standard, I daresay I would be interested in taking the PPP ECU and intercooler pipework in exchange for a cash consideration along with standard parts from my MY03...

I got 30.4mpg out of my last tankfull calculated exactly i.e dividing the miles since the last fill up into the gallons which were calculated at 1 gallon = 4.54 litres - in other words exact. I've got over 330 miles on the trip now with the current tank full and the fuel light has just come on so I guess about the same this time also. It's just started getting more economical so it must be just about run in now.

Most of these miles are motorway, going at between 75mph and 80mph. Apparently if you drive carefully the PPP improves fuel efficiency - if you boot it then it goes faster than std WRX so uses a bit more but it's relative!

Let me know quickly if you're interested as I've got a few people on it right now - possibly coming round over the weekend.

Excellent economy for a Scoob Sounds like a top car.

Could still really do with a buyer for MY00 first - don't fancy running costs of two Scoobs!

Cheers,

Ian.

I will second barneyrubbles MPG figures. Mines a non-ppp wrx and on the motorway i get around 250-300 on a tank depending on driving style. But the ppp is better for fuel efficiency.

Bttt anyway and good luck with the sale

You need to buy that car!

EVO mag this month rates WRX with PPP as best buy scoob.

I'll look after your 00 till it sells ;-)

I missed a bargain there - shame my MY00 didn't sell

If you don't mind me asking, did the car go to a dealer and would they take a part exchange? Hope its not gone to a main Scoob dealer as they will want to much for it

Cheers,

Ian.

Ian

The garage I sold it to were selling it to a scooby specialist, they weren't retailing it - said it was a specialist type car. They were keen to sell me the Audi so it was a means to an end for them - I don't know who the scoob speacialist was, I could find out but I guess they would have a reasonable mark up in it!

Good luck anyway mate.

Barney,

Many thanks for the reply. I will keep an eye out for it on the Auto Trader web site.

A mate at works has got a new shape A4 130 TDI Quattro - nice car. He generally gets 40-50MPG Got to be a bonus with the mileage you are doing.

Hope you get another Scoob soon

Cheers,

Ian.

Have you a tracker fitted?

I used to have a WRX 03 PPP and sold it for a Passat 1.8t - Now thinking of going back unsurprisingly!

I know that Direct Line require a tracker though and have a tight budget so if you have one you may JUST be within my reach!

Let me know....cheers.
