A sad day indeed, but it has to go.
* Black Type R 1998 (S) V4.
* 30,000 miles. 30k service will be done in the next week or so.
* Full service history (was imported from new)
* The car is standard except D/P & BB. Original items will come with the car.
* A full list of factory fitted extras and lots of paperwork, including import papers.
* Uprated fuel pump & oil pump. For safety, not performance.
* Bridgestone Potenza SO2's all round
* 301bhp on PE's RR (Before DP & BB)
* Clifford X50 Cat 1 alarm
* 5 months MOT & 6 months tax.
* Only ever run on Optimax
* Only ever Castrol RS 10/60 in engine
* VERY well looked after
* £14,495 ono
Please email me only if you are GENUINELY interested.

As somebody who bought a very similar spec Type R 6 months ago for the same money but slightly higher mileage I'd have to say this is good money IMHO - these cars need to be driven to be fully appreciated, they're fantastic! Sensible mod doing the oil pump too as that'll save someone a few quid in the long run.

Looks like the auto trader then? I bet you can't wait, the prospect of all those tyre kickers and test pilots. Oh joy.
Free btt for ya!

Just had a time waster come and look at the car. Said he wanted it, then spoke to sparsh1ts Subaru in Botley who told him that you can't get the parts for an import anywhere in the country! The **** beleived them!
I think this is a good enough excuse to keep it.

Sell yours and buy mine.
Have you driven a Type R? I drove a STI8 PPP, other than the brakes, I felt mine was better in every department.
I'll try and get a pic up as soon as I get the chance.
I know I'm bound to say this, but it's the nicest Type R I saw when I was looking around. There's something about a black scoob, looks meaner than any other colour.
I'd like to keep it, but I can't have a 996 and a scoob. D'oh!
It's the only car I've had that I've swore I'll own again.
