Zen Performance 200 mile old forged 2.5 STi6
EDIT: The engine also has ARP head stud and nut kit installed.
Paul at Zen built me a forged 2.5 based round a very low milage late 2.5 bottom end. He installed forged pistons and rods with ARP bolts, Cosworth head gaskets, new bearings, rebuilt the STi6 heads etc. The engine was built with not only a Cosworth baffle plate but also a Felstead baffled rally sump. Complete and properly done rebuild. Nothing skimped on, nothing missed, a job done properly.
The engine had done a couple of hundred miles (i.e. far from run in) when some numpty pulled out in front of it and destroyed the car.
The engine has been down to Richard Henry Motorsport and theyve done a leak down test which shows no issues with any of the cylinders indicating zero valve damage.
See the pics below of the engine including inside the cylinder head showing how clean it is and how perfect the cams are and the invoices from Zen plus some of the bits we added. I dont have it to hand but Id swear blind that Paul sent a second invoice with some more stuff on it.
Build cost:
Zen invoice £3627.13
Apex invoice £1161.73
Low milage late 2.5 £800 (ish, cant remember exact amount)
Total £5588.86 plus as said, Im sure there was a second invoice that came through from Zen.
The engine is being sold as is, I am being transparant and completely honest with the engine but youre buying as is. I havent pulled the heads off, Ive sent the lump to Richard Henry and hes reported back as described above. Ive no reason to believe the engine isnt ready to rock and roll, refit a pair of pulleys and a belt and its ready to install buts Im selling it as described, no more, no less.
£2595 buys it.
