From: Wherever I park my car, that's my home
This was fitted to my car prior to an upgrade to a FMIC.
I spent a lot of time removing the welds and polishing the top of this prior to fitting. When I first fitted it the fit was not perfect and it would rub on and split the wastegate hose. I bought a CDF racing intercooler tilt kit for the classic to space it out and make sure it wouldn't catch this hose.
Once it was raised it did catch on the corner of my kakumei undertray, and this can be seen in the picture. It has not split the intercooler and it remains air tight. It did reduce the charge temps compared to the WRX TMIC.
The y-hose on the standard cooler does need to be extended and you can by an alloy pipe for about a fiver that can be clamped into your hose. I don't have the samco kit anymore as that has been sold.
