What parts got changed when it was rebuilt by API?

 

A set of ACL race big end bearings, head gaskets and seals. It was an ok engine, that just needed a freshen up and also to give confidence to the prospective buyer that it would do what it is supposed to do.

Sky's the limit as far as potential power is concerned, it has all the right bits inside it.

Sky,s the limit ? So with right mods turbo,Injectors, fuel ect ect it will be fine running 600 bhp if so im interested ....

 

Talk to your mate at Zen, he specced the engine, but in my opinion it should be OK. Possibly a bit head gasket prone, like them all at that power level. But a " Wills WRC style gasket ring kit " would solve that.

Interested in the engine! I have a V2 STi (555) Do you know (API maybe?) What I would need to change out to get it fitted?

I currently run with 740CC injectors, Apexi Power FC, GT headers, and the standard TD05 turbo, Standard inlet with a AB88 FMIC.

Anything I need to think about that wouldnt fit ancillery wise?

Question for API, could you source me a descent gearbox too? 6 speed STi maybe? Price?

So long as it all feels okay I wont be the next buyer to let you down! But I do have to make sure I have got the complete package.

It'll go straight into that, as it is where it came from; a Vers 2 STi RA. depending upon the type of use you have it for will decide what is the best transmission solution for you. That can be sorted quite quickly once I have some more info.

You also need something rather larger than the original TD05 to be able to work it properly. I have a used TD05/06 /20G coming along any day soon from a conversion we are doing for a guy. That'll work on that engine rather well. Cost will be somewhere around £650 - £700.
