Cool *SOLD - Genuine Subaru STI6 Front Splitter

SOLD - Pending payment/collection

Thanks all for your interest

This is a genuine OEM Subaru part for the STi 6. Its a bit more discreet than the P1 item.

As its genuine oem part it fits like a glove and fits easily and snugly as expected. Fits the version 5 and facelift bumpers.

£100 plus P&P or collection

you first offer up the splitter to the bumper and will fit snugly slipping ove the front, the small square holes will line up with the rasied brackets/lug things on the splitter. So you poke the screw/bolt through the small square holes and through the lug bracket in splitter. when you do it it will, should become apparent. So its a 1o minute job, easier if you have car on ramp or jacked up a bit, but can do it lying on yur back ok.

Does that make sense

I understand what you describe, but I think I must be missing some sort of small adaptor that the screw threads into, the small square hole simply wont hold the screw as the hole is to big. Your picture shows some sort of silver coloured thing that clips into the square holes???

yes, these are captive nuts/fasteners that are fitted to the splitter, i.e. so you screw up into this caaptive fastener. Dont have the splitter anymore to check, but thats the best i can remember, you could use use normal nut and bolts, with big washer.

Anybody else

These splitters and the fitting kits werestill available from Subaru. I think it was about £115 incl for the spoiler itself. To do the job right you also need a weather strip and for V6 cars captive nuts.

I got mine from Bell and Colville Subaru Dealers in Surrey, about 5 years ago!!

IF your car is a V6 (MY00) you will have square holes that are supposed to take clips. Mine was a V5 bumper, without any holes, so I just drilled and self tappered it on.

As suggested above, the easiest was is to use nuts/bolts/washers from B&Q or another hardware store, or buy the fitting kit from Subaru.
