I may be selling this....my engine has stated to some a bit and its from a small bit of oil getting into number 2, I think its an oil seal on the piston....still drives but ive chosen not to use her so no damage is caused and its an easy fix.
the engine is out of MY95 impreza (import) and I’m selling either:

Is there any knocks or anything, or is it just the bit of smoke?? Also are the heads the solid lifter type??

Oh ok, all i meant was did you get tappet noise at all, i have the hydraulic version and i could do with some solid lifters which i belive are fitted to Impreza's but some early ones had Hyraulics ones so...

 

no noise whatsoever mate...just smoked when the turbo was going

ok engine still for sale, the problem is the piston on the front passengerside has split oil ring and needs new piston fitting and then new gaskets
