Cool High performance 2.2L shortblock parts for sale

For sale:

All the major parts necessary to build an extremely strong 2.2L short block:

1 x Closed-deck block relinered to 2.2L bore size
1 x Set of JE Forged Pistons, rings and gudgeon pins
1 x Set of PAR Rods
1 x Subaru Phase One Crankshaft

All parts are brand new and unused with the exception of the closed deck block, which was checked for faults before the relinering work was performed. The block has been fitted with heavy duty top hat cylinder liners by SMG. This is the same relinering process and the same liners used in a number of well known high power subaru projects.

The block has been honed to match the pistons, so these are now a matched set.

Looking for £2200 ONO

Any questions, please PM me or email me at moraymackenzie(at)hotmail(dot)com

Edited to reduce asking price

Me neither.
Probably because the 2.5/2.33's are more in fashion?

Will still have a nice con rod ratio too, and is happy to rev to 8000rpm without feeling strained.

Imho, the best choice for a modified engine.

There is a reason why the 22B came standard with this engine!

So, with a 20g/Sti v3 heads and Apexi and fueling/FMIC to match?

About what TORQUE and power?

Moray: I hope this will help sell this engine.

Exclamation

Okay chaps, as it transpires I have been effectively messed around for several weeks and then let down, (this was nothing to do with Dr Jones, who was, unfortunately, also messed around by proxy), so this kit is available for sale again.

The good news, from other perspectives, is that this high performance 2.2l engine kit is still available for sale.

making this engine run at only 400bhp would be a crime

Surely anybody buying this engine will also need a new gear box to go with it unless they are already running JDM STi 6 speed???

you don't have to run mega torque and bhp. It is possible to get substantially more low down torque with 10% more capacity, and equally you could ahve boost control set up that doesn't destroy a standard gearbox.

Many people have run standard 5 speeds at over 400bhp for significant periods, so I don't see why it should be considered a requirement.
