Bit of a hi-jack.
What's better with the STi heads above the WRX heads ( both jap imports here I mean ) ? ( Feel free Pavlo! )
Bigger valves, different cam profiles, stronger valve springs, better airflowing?
Just wondering in case more come up and are a worthwhile buy!

So as STi always seems to be, built for more reliability / higher revving, as valve construction shows, ( cooler running exhaust valves, lighter inlet valves ) are the cams higher lift or longer duration etc, or just suited to higher revving motor?
Any benefit on a WRX 7000 rpm limit engine?

I am looking for heads to fit on my US 2.5 STi short motor!
The car it will be fitted in is a MY99 STi 5 Type R is there any particular heads I should be looking for or will any STi heads be suitable?
What about the heads from a blob eye STi - any pitfalls to using them?
Is there some sort of electronic control of the valves on them for which the STi 5 is not wired?
appreciate any pointers!

Ken from what i have read on NASIOC there should be any problems fitting on your
short block VER 7 + heads but you will not be able to use the AVCS without
VER 7 + ECU + new wiring
and from what i read the JDM as higher ver heads you get
the more ported and bigger heads they are so higher version should be better
