Default Impreza rear trailing arm spherical bearing/bush kit

Special front bush assembly for the front of the rear trailing arm, has a high spec spherical joint in an alluminium housing. Replaces normal squidgey rubber bush so reduces unwanted rear wheel movement and changes to rear track geometry. Remember, all your rear drive power is transmitted to the road through this bush! Ultimate setup like on GpA/WRC cars. This bush is just pressed into the trailing arm in place of the standard bush. Comes complete with side spacers for bearing.

£165 a pair.

Martin 07837 721986 or e-mail/PM me for more details.

No interest? I'm surprised that none of you "Track Day" drivers have enquired about this kit!

Someone asked me "where do these come from and where would I get spares?"

Reply:

I manufacture these units myself, they are fully proven and tested on my rally car, they consist of the following parts:

1 alluminium bearing housing, hand machined from alloy billet to take the bearing.

1 National high quality Spherical bearing, PTFE liner, 0.750" bore. (WSSB12)

2 side spacers manufactured from Stainless steel to make the bearing fit between the sides of the normal trailing arm bracket. The normal M12 bolt goes through these.

1 circlip that retains the bearing in the housing.

The housing outside diameter is made to be a very tight fit in the trailing arm like the original, it's pushed in with a hydraulic press.

The only part you would ever need to replace might be the bearing itself, they are available from Demon Tweeks for £33.41 + VAT (WSSB12), however I very much doubt that you would ever need to replace it as its a very high spec bearing and very well sized for the job.
