Not taken the wrong way at all mate:lol1:and yes.

marco58 28 February 2014 06:39 PM

WD40 used by the bucket loads mate but its never going to penetrate the threads:thumb:

gazzawrx 28 February 2014 06:49 PM

Plus gas is much better than wd40, try tightening it slightly to free the threads then undo it, failing that an impact gun and big bowl to catch the oil should do it.

Cheers will give plus gas a go and tightening it:thumb:

try jacking the breaker bar to undo.

ScottyPPP 28 February 2014 10:29 PM

The drain plug on mine won't budge, the fill plug was easy!

I've just bought this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1510469196...84.m1423.l2649 to get a better fit in the plug.

Steve's Sti 28 February 2014 11:13 PM

Get a air hammer action half inch drive gun will get it out then just replace it

Fair comment ;)

I thought syphon or pump the oil out to save possibly causing damage getting the drain plug out.

I had to use my bloody legs to loosen that bolt, had to get into this weird twisted position then pushed upwards, finally started to come loose.

Its not the drain plug that's stuck mate its the top filler plug, good idea if it was the other way round:thumb:

just me 03 March 2014 12:42 PM

Are you using a deep socket on it?

marco58 03 March 2014 12:54 PM

Yes mate and the right size,im going to try running some heat over it as nothing is moving it not even a impact gun
