No problem, it's good stuff and I'd forgotten about it until I remembered you loaned me your upholstery cleaner. :notworthy

Did some more noseing about today inside and under the car. The curse of many Classic Impreza's is the inner arch rust, so I removed the boot linings and found this.

And from the top.

Even at my age I managed to get down on one knee and get some upskirt shots. The area behind the front right wishbone.

Under the drivers seat.

I'll try and get it on the ramps in the Bat Cave and see what needs a bit of Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80 over the next few days.

The car is in outstanding condition Ian, the inner wing shows just how well it's been looked after.

As I've said before you've bought a real mint car there. :thumb:

That is clean! What's the mileage again?

The Trooper 1815 23 February 2014 08:24 PM

68,000 kms = 42000 miles.

simb 2 23 February 2014 08:37 PM

Good find

v6wrx 23 February 2014 08:39 PM

Minter! Had hydrate 80 for my arches good stuff!

mervil 24 February 2014 08:15 AM

That looks spot on Ian... awesome find :) looking forward to seeing this !

Agree with keeping it limited and running in KMs, at least you know what she has actually done! My Type R was still running in KMs and never needed the 112mph limiter removed!

The Trooper 1815 24 February 2014 05:32 PM

Popped into Three Arches for a chat and to book the car in for a quick health check next week.

But was looking round the car and spotted the exhaust was made by Ti.

Is this the same company?

Expensive bit of kit!

The Trooper 1815 28 February 2014 05:28 PM

Fitted the LAMCO Gauges today, but I have not wired up the Temp Sender yet, but it's in place.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps58fbfe6f.jpg

But I had a surprise when I fitted them. I took the gearstick surround off and found this!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps1810e135.jpg

A Quick shift kit fitted :D.

Also fitted some new rubber pedal covers but that's boring.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ps426d72a1.jpg

I have discovered the origin of the exhaust, it's very impressive to say the least.

The Stitcher 28 February 2014 07:16 PM

Looking good Ian and very happy that you got a mint one, can't wait to see it and loving the originality of it all and what plans you got for it

It's a good point your making but there's no harm in putting them in, or are you keeping as original as possible?

Apart from 4 pots and a strut brace. The black door handles go on soon.

53 28 February 2014 11:47 PM

Rubbers are better than the clip on metal STi ones IMHO, never liked them :)

Silver Scooby Sport 01 March 2014 07:35 AM

Looks great Ian... Where did you run the cables through the bulkhead it's job I've got to do here.

big daz2 01 March 2014 08:26 AM

Looking very nice Ian nice bit of tinkering

They were on my RA when I bought it and your feet slip on them when they're wet :freak3:

Ian, a very nice car and everything I thought it would be from what I've seen from the previous thread pics. OE is the way to go with these getting very rare in this condition, cant wait to see it soon. :thumb:

Cheers Jay.

To answer Si's question, I have used the Subaru instructions for feeding cables through the bulk head. The boost hose is fitted and the temp sensor cables will follow the same path. Once they are both fitted I can hid it behind the bulk head sound deadening and feed it into the back of the centre console.
