Yes of course they continued to use a poor engine, why would they waste time developing a new one:Whatever_:Whatever_

Get over it move on:thumb:

Glad the STi is keeping the burble, I think the new WRX has lost that?

Thehulkster699 17 February 2014 07:45 PM

Brilliant! Can't wait to get mine (hopefully first week in May!)

Put a straight through decat exhaust on and I'm sure it will be back:) Get it mapped like a ppp and it will be the fastest car on the planet ;) :thumb:

NormantheDog 17 February 2014 09:45 PM

19mpg!

Thehulkster699 17 February 2014 09:48 PM

Surely that's the mpg they did on the track-test?

Hope so for your sake! £500 road tax and super unleaded petrol at 19mpg doesn't compensate for the initial 'reduced' price. Miss my Subaru but these are the reasons I sold up.

Thehulkster699 17 February 2014 10:14 PM

Hey - not that I want to blow my hard earned into a petrol tank I'm also of the mind that you can't take it with you, so enjoy life while you can!

Busterbulldog 17 February 2014 11:39 PM

Gosh 300 bhp thats gonna be scary

mnem1c 17 February 2014 11:57 PM

Hopefully the handing will make up for the watered down performance.

mickp 18 February 2014 07:48 AM

The jury is out on this one. Subaru have lost loads of ground over recent years. Tax, MPG and most importantly of all the disastrous 2.5 farce of an engine suggest we should tread carefully.

In 2008 I jumped in early, bought a Hatch before it was in the U.K and over the following years watched as engines popped everywhere. No way would I ever do the same again. Won't buy again now until a new model has at least 12 months reliability under its belt.

lordharding 18 February 2014 08:23 AM

If it had a new engine I would of had one
Looks the part and good value for money
Remember classics were nearly 23k in 2000
Power is adequate
But nervous of the engine saga

Also I would want a 5 year warrenty not a three year on the STi

:luxhello:

XDevil666 18 February 2014 11:38 AM

looks really nice :)

alcazar 18 February 2014 06:37 PM

I would want the warranty backed by an honest company...which would seem to rule out those offering it now?? Allegedly.
