I have just had alignment done as my Scooby 2004 wrx it feels like you hitting white line every time you corner at speed or eased off throttle on slightly bump road I have coilovers with adjustable camber plates adjusted to about 3cm off top of my wheels to the arc also bump steer correction kit (whiteline) 24mm arb on the way
alignment is bang on still don't no what's up any help be grateful
front toe 0.00 both sides
front camber -1.40 - 1.43
rear toe -0.02 -0.03
rear camber -1.21 -1.28

Sounds to me like you want another 0.5 degrees of camber on the rear, I run -1.75 on the rear it's crap at slow speeds and feels weird but when you load it up in the twisties it comes alive.

As for your suzzy not sure as I run standard shocks with some sort of after market spring, don't know what they are as they were on the car when I bought it.

I have super pro steering rack and roll bar bushes as well as camber bolts all round and your settings are close to mine apart from the rear, I like it, has nice direction changes, goes where you point it and feels well balanced when pushing on, but it's a road car not a track car so I won't fit coilovers on that basis.

Another point is scoobs don't like to be too low and you need to get the height right at the front and rear as well as the rebound and damping and spring rates, i'm not a coilover man so can't help with that aspect, PM bonesetter and he might be able to help.

P.S: my daily is a 54 plate wrx wagon ppp

Also i'd check everything is tightened up properly top mounts etc.

Im not a coil over man nether but evry 1 said best thing since slice bred at the mo don't agree if i keep my foot planted seems be ok and im loosing confidence in it

It could be the ride height or the spring rates, what coilovers are they and what are your spring rates.

The reason I don't like them is 90% of the time they're shoite and only come into their own on really smooth tarmac in the dry, and I don't seem to ever be able to find any.:(

does it clunk or knock?

ride height from the center of the wheel to the arch is 14inc

Mine doesn't seem any lower but it's definitely firmer than my old 04 WRX saloon, like I said before Impreza's don't respond well to being lowered too much and you have to maintain the difference between front and rear in ride height and spring rate.

I have very limited knowledge on the dynamics of suspension set up, but I do know how I like my car to handle, I have gleaned what little knowledge I have off here and followed other peoples settings with a bit of a twist of my own until I found something I was happy with, my next mod will be 22mm rear anti roll bar followed by some more caster on the front.

I think you may be just feeling the harshness of coilovers on the bumpy uk roads.
I'd go back to the place that did the geo and get them to check all is well.:thumb:

think you right with bumpy a and b roads don't have a decant road for miles lol fancy doing the caster on mine the white line kit but my arb is out of stock and will be with me 2-3 weeks I went for the 24mm and heavy duty mounts

Yeah, depends what you want your car to do and where you drive it, i'd go for a similar set up but only for track,sprint or hill climbs, can't cope with it the rest of the time, i'm old. :lol1:

but -2.0 rear camber. :)

I will try the rear camber and let you now but might set dampers to half way aswel to see what happens

I have 0 toe on rears and -0.1 on fronts as they smother straighten at speed, toe on the rear can make it feel unstable. Just a thought.

What tyres you are running? I'm amazed that nobody has asked to be honest. :thumb:

Pirelli front and toyos on the rear.

There's your problem. Totally different grip characteristics from both tyres. Get a matching set with equal levels of tread and then look at your suspension/geometry settings if you still have issues, which I doubt you will.
At present, it sounds like your Toyo's are gripping better than the Pirelli's on the front, which is causing understeer like you say.

Personally, i'd recommend some Good Year F1 Asymmetrics. Transformed my car.

Had geometry set up yesterday all tyres around 6 mm i try getting maching toyos for now to
