bleed valve/dawes mbc fitting help

I know the bleed valve isn't advisable but has anyone got any fitting pics/instructions for one.
Am possibly going to go for the Dawes mbc could someone supply details on fitting and pics.

Much better off just getting a controller mate or remap aren't u ? I've never fitted one but drive a classic with one fitted the other day spiked at 1.4 hit boost cut and drop like a right nail .

Are you having the car mapped (or at least having the fueling checked) to accommodate the extra boost ???

Had a bleed valve fitted and set up on my old Focus RS, as already said it would hit full boost then drop like a nail, load of flat spots, Not very good to be honest and I wouldnt even put one near a Impreza!!:nono:

Leave them to the RS boys!!!:thumb:

Jumping off a building isn't a good idea either. Would you try that?

Bleed valves worst thing for a turbo car imo

Depends what the car is. My99/00 classics run stupidly rich on OE ecu so you can increase boost within reason. Newage i wouldnt fit one. Either way get it setup correctly on a rolling road to check the air/fuel mixture rather than just guessing it

I had a dawes fitted to my last blob, I fitted it on the rollers, raised boost by 2psi, so got before and after graphs to lay on top of each other, only 1bhp difference in peak, but it gained 20bhp and 30lb/ft in midrange

Ah the good old Dawes, those were the days. Used to good effect by John banks (a long time ago) and a lot of info on them if you search this forum. Basically connect between compressor cover outlet and wastegate, you lose all ECU boost control including limp mode boost.

You will find most posts on the Dawes are from a long time ago, I was using one 14 years ago to good effect, as mentioned previously (before newages came out) the classics run nice and rich open loop so a bit of extra boost set a bit before OE boost cut was cheap and easy power. But things have moved on TBH
