My R/R Printouts, thoughts ?

Whats peoples thoughts on the results with the AFR's and Power:Boost
Suppose the good thing is it boosts up to 1bar and sits there really with no massive tail off

The rolling road was done before I bought the car btw, to me it does but to the trained eye it could be different
So does everything seem normal ??

+1

whats the full spec of the car

bustaMOVEs 31 December 2013 12:42 PM

My guess on a classic will be a 16g or similar with the late but hard boost

the shreksta 31 December 2013 12:43 PM

would have thought a 16g would produce more bhp than that and also spool alot earlier, depends on spec i suppose

reedy107 31 December 2013 12:44 PM

TD05 standard I recon

the engine is stock ( to my knowledge )apart from:

its a V1 sti

fuel pump
FMIC
Uprated ecu as its running MAF'less
filter
straight through exhaust

who mapped it?

reedy107 31 December 2013 12:47 PM

ill have a look throught the recipts, but it could be who done the rolling road ?

reedy107 31 December 2013 12:50 PM

the has a few receipts from these guys

http://www.tritonmotorsport.com/show...?id=index_cont
or maybe it has not been mapped, its had the FMIC and pump fitted then maybe just rolling roaded

got more receipts from AWD motorsport engineering up in perth as well

That's were it lived after it got imported in 2005 then moved down the the bournmouth area

Triton do the work on my car and the ECU work there is done by Duncan@Racedynamix. If that helps :)

sweden 31 December 2013 01:18 PM

Why've you still got the maf fitted.

Tidgy 31 December 2013 01:26 PM

It's prob been setup on ecutek to run mafless, maf controls idle so has to be retained. not a great setup compare to other options.

Judging by the fueling and boost i'd be surprised if it hasn't been mapped. looks like turbo just spools late, could be a number of reasons why. looks like its running ok though which is whats important

reedy107 31 December 2013 01:35 PM

Well I have no receipts for any mapping sessions so I have not got a clue, but then I have no receipts for the rolling road session so maybe it was all done together with a cash deal with no receipt ??? maybe

Ive sent a letter today to the previous owner askin for him to get in touch to see if he can shine any light on the situation

But with the mods its had he would be mad to just run it without setting it up .It does feel like its set up as it never splutters or misses a beat and pulls all the way through without any black smoke.......................yet , ive just temped fait by writing that.

my next post will have a title along the lines of
" my car want start " or "my car has just cut out whist driving "

just to fix the air filter to at the moment and take the filter away from the engine. if it is only a couple inches

BlueBugEye 31 December 2013 03:49 PM

The runs were SRR and looking at the date it was a Friday so probably not Simon who mapped it as he usually does Wednesdays.

jameswrx 31 December 2013 04:08 PM

Did you find what ecu has been fitted to the car? ie take the casing off and have a look?

reedy107 31 December 2013 04:27 PM

some good things and bad things

Is this a good thing or bad thing .

The other guys obviously know what there doing yea ??

beezor 01 January 2014 12:02 PM

Why don't you just contact triton and ask them what's been done to the car mate?

reedy107 01 January 2014 12:38 PM

would they have everything on record ?

I think I will drop them a email, see what they see, but good shout

beezor 01 January 2014 01:13 PM

They will if they did any work on the car, they should be able to tell you exactly what mods have been done and I'd say that Duncan(Racedynamix) prob mapped the esl, just out of interest what colour injectors are you running as if it's still on the original 380's then that would explain the rr figure.

reedy107 01 January 2014 02:06 PM

I have no idea what injectors I have mate.

380cc are standard yea?

I have no paper work for injectors, whats max power for these injectors, with fuel pressure im guessing its standard also

beezor 01 January 2014 02:14 PM

Take it look at the colour of the tops of the injectors,if they are grey then they will be the standard 380's,they will be maxing out around the 300 mark at standard 3 bar fuel pressure I would imagine.

reedy107 01 January 2014 02:20 PM

yea will do , ill have a look when it stops raining !

but on the R/R print out it doesn't seem to go lean at all even at higher RPM

I sent triton a email so lets see what they have to say
