Mint uk2000 wagon

Well selling the wagon as can't really justify the expense of two cars but genuinely will miss this car when it goes. Its awesome.
Probably the cleanest wagon in the country and one known very well on southeast scoobs.

One owner car up until early this year, then a friend bought it who has massive dogs and needed something bigger, I have owned it since April and been using it as my main transport although this is only about 3 times a week.
Totally reliable and nothing gone wrong....its almost perfect.

Ok boring bits are tax and mot until March 2014.

Bump £4750

Smiler AS 14 December 2013 07:44 PM

Few quick questions:
1. Does it have air con
2. Do you have OEM 16 /17 wheels, I'm not the biggest fan of 18s on classics
3. Do you have the roof rails to back on?

It's just wee things, cracking spec. of what's been done, plus the painted sti front lip and door strips look good. I've actually got unpainted door strips and same splitter in garage for when I do find my ideal wagon.

scoobyman1984 15 December 2013 03:48 PM

Looks lovely and the air con is present by looks of it the compressor is to the right of the inlet

It does have air on still yes.

The 1st owner still has the original bits etc. I can ask if he will let these go if you wish. He is very local to me

Hongkongfooi 22 December 2013 08:37 PM

Bump. Guarantee the first to see and drive will want this great car

Scott.T 22 December 2013 09:00 PM

Can't believe this car is still hanging around.
I've known this car for around 10 years and seen it evolve over this time.
It has always been meticulously cared for, with much research done before any modification went on.
The original owner was almost as anal as me........
This will be a great buy for someone

Tim....take some better photo's mate as those don't do it justice.

If I had the extra pennies now, I would be down there for it - regardless of the weather.
My initial plan was to find a decent classic wagon and work on over a couple of years, but this one has everything done, engine, drivetrain, bodywork that's as near as god dam my wish list.

If you are speaking to the original owner and have a smaller set or OEM wheels to go back on and you keep the 18's (that's if they are any use to you?) let me know.

Meanwhile, Il check the family, see if any rich grannies are about to kick the bucket soon!!:):nono:

new year bump

Hmmmm this is tempting, wasn't looking at another wagon but I do like the look of this.

Do you still have the colour coded fog light covers (and the girl sat on it) as in your avatar?

Tony Harrington 05 January 2014 06:38 PM

Seriously nice motor, can't believe no one has bit at it yet, a real credit to the present owner!

I'm currently selling my cooper s works, got a mate interested in it, if I can sell it to him I would definitely be interested in viewing this as it looks and sounds great.

What a fabulous machine! And so heavily endorsed by the wise and knowledgeable members here. I am interested, assuming this gem of a Scoob is still for sale. I will send a PM with my details.
Thanks,
Chris.

Rex93 20 January 2014 11:50 AM

Really surprised this hasn't sold yet! first genuine buyer to actualy see the car will buy....

I wanted this car for a very long time and when the previous owners decided to go for a GT86 they made the decision that the wagon should make way for it!!! ( they still have a stunning Legacy SpecB and a small toyota for daily short trips )

As much as I wanted this car to fit around our life, it just wouldn't work and with wifey complaining that we needed something bigger (as much as she also loved the wagon) I purchased a 2006 (55) Forester STi as a replacement.

Not being allowed to have three subarus, I had no choice but to sell the wagon on.......

Car was purchased from close friends, both mature enthusiast owners 50's / 60's who had the car from new and made all the modifications/ enhancements. Car was garaged all its life and really very well looked after. It drives and handles exceptionally well and behaved faultlessly as a daily driver for the short time I had it.

Price really does reflect the cars condition......

In the 2nd photo here does it have a big brake kit fitted but in the 1st it has standard 4 pots?? I am on my phone and its hard to tell when I zoom in, but the calipers look a lot bigger in the 2nd pic.

Hongkongfooi 24 January 2014 09:14 PM

I swapped the Alcons that were on the wagon with my p1 brakes last year. My p1 has more power than the wagon so the Alcons were a bit of a luxury on it.

RobEvo5 29 January 2014 04:34 PM

Truly stunning example this, If you want one if not the best examples of a UK wagon with sensible mods then look no further. Good luck with the sale Tim.

MattyB1983 29 January 2014 05:45 PM

Its stunning it really is and I honestly think you'll struggle to find a better one but, unfortunately, nobody is going to pay the best part of 5 grand for an old UK turbo wagon.
Its sad but thats just the way it is.
If you really want to sell it you need to seriously adjust your price chap even though its probably worth every penny.

I understand all this but if you saw the car compared with others and with the excellent history it comes with a buyer would see why I am asking what I am. There is always a slight room for negotiation on price.

Price drop to 4400
