Gravity (film)
Just watched it on IMAX.
It was very good indeed; works well on the massive screen and with 3D. |
Heard good things too.
Also want to see Philomena, that one with Tom Hanks and Bad Grandpa. Not had much of a chance to get off to the cinema with the wife recently since hitting parenthood and all that lol. |
Am I the only one who thought it was shot?
|
I'll watch it when it's out on DVD. SB is annoying, but I shall check out GC for sure in it.
I have to say that SB was much more composed and a bit adult speaking in Ross's show lately. Not like the last time when she talked like a 10 yr. old. |
Won't work on the small screen in the same way, it needs the big 3D image. The medium is the message!

Saw it last night. It's very much about making you feel as if you are there so won't be the same on your HD TV at home.

Seriously, you guys are giving good reviews. Thanks, and I must watch in the picture halls. |

Wow, sounds good. I'd like to feel that I'm with JC in space. I'll kick SB off the spaceship and sit at her seat next to JC. :lol1:

Heard good things about this film too, so I'll probably give it a watch.
|
Was really looking forward to it. For me, completely forgettable except for the technical achievement though. £11 each even in Scotland.

It was my girlfriend that wanted to see Bad Grandpa. I knew it would just be more of the same kind of humour as Borat etc and that's what it was. Didn't find it that funny and I do like a good laugh. So if you're struggling to make time I would say Captain Phillips is definitely the one to go for, although I haven't seen Philomena! |

Not sure it would be worth it as don't go that often, but if we did that would be a deal.
|
It was OK, imagery not as good as life of pi and I half expected sharks to appear at the end as thats how bad a day she was having. It would probably look better on my home setup than the cinema anyway.
|
Not a bad film but not great either.
I've always been a big Sandra Bullock fan so it was worth it to see her in those tight shorts:D Problem is all the way through I kept imagining how she would sit on my face in a zero gravity scenario. Well one can but dream..... |
