520

jura11 04 November 2013 11:01 PM

Good luck with mapping there and really nice spec

On 2.5L should spool just great,on our 2.35L we are have full boost under 4k RPM

I would say 550bhp on V-power and 600bhp should be possible on V-Power and 20% meth

Good luck bud. Going through the same myself, mine is up for base map Monday, hopefully full map Wednesday. Not going to be hitting your sort of power as I only have a md321s.. Good luck bud.

just me 04 November 2013 11:14 PM

584.7 bhp :D

Good luck!

craigybaby 04 November 2013 11:17 PM

I'm Guessing 510-520 on v power

white noise 04 November 2013 11:35 PM

536.5 on v power

bigarf 05 November 2013 06:44 AM

nice spec, the power will depend on how much boost and what fuel your going to be running.hope all goes well.:thumb:

stonejedi 05 November 2013 07:10 AM

Around the 550 region.SJ.

RobsyUK 05 November 2013 07:29 AM

Im gonna go low.. 493.7

ditchmyster 05 November 2013 08:10 AM

470 bhp, there's always some sort of problem on a first mapping session.;)

Ciaran 05 November 2013 09:58 AM

Pretty sure he has been running the engine with a normal turbo for 12 months but has only now gone rotated. I'm guessing 572 :)

EssexJamie 05 November 2013 10:10 AM

521BHP
Sounds a good spec, get some vids of it on the rollers

thenewgalaxy 05 November 2013 10:20 AM

I reckon you'll be pushing 900bhp on that setup!

Okay seriously it depends how hard you want to push her, I reckon 520bhp.

G.Mac 05 November 2013 03:37 PM

Just under 400bhp at 1 bar with avcr turned off, now going for setting A at 1.5 bar

g7prs 05 November 2013 03:43 PM

Hopefully everything goes well after all the bad luck you've had.

scoobyboy1 05 November 2013 05:16 PM

554.2bhp

Good luck with the mapping!!!:thumb: Hope everything goes to plan!!!

560/550ft/lbs.

G.Mac 05 November 2013 09:52 PM

Well ended up having an issue with fuel pressure dropping off. On high boost map it would rise to 6 bar then tail off to 4 bar at high rpms. Turned out the fuel pump was only getting 11.5v due to the power being taken off the in tank pump.

Ended up getting 461.4hp and 414 ftlbs of torque at the wheels on high boost so approx 550 bhp at the flywheel. High boost was 1.8 bar.

Was very happy at the way the intercooler was working as on 1.85 bar my charge temp was 21 degrees when ambiant was between 11 and 14 degrees.

Will post up graph shortly

What made you choose the Haltech ecu?

G.Mac 06 November 2013 01:03 AM

Basically because a good mate of mine was able to get it at a good price and at the time of me buying it it seemed to have greater functionality and processor over the syvecs. However since buying it the syvecs has overtaken the Haltech.

So I was the closest? After all it's always on wheel bhp.. When do I get the gold fish?

cster 08 November 2013 07:00 AM

I like the pipe work around the turbo. Very need indeed.

The sweet smell of victory, even if it is a tad fishy which is something that's never bothered me before. :D

honeybadger 08 November 2013 02:07 PM

well done! :)

I have a 2410cc custom motor pushing 516hp at the crank. On 1.6 Bar.
Interesting how similar the figures are.

G.Mac 11 November 2013 05:04 AM

Sorry its a bit late but had to rebuild my computer as well.

anyways here is the graph and the only vid I took (was the run where I noticed the fuel pressure dropping off

Hope to be re wiring the pump sometime this week

Regarding the fuel pump, are/were you running a second pump of the feed to the in tank pump?? As I am going to be fitting a swirl pot and external Bosch fuel pump to my bugeye and am looking at the wiring. My initial thought is to run a feed from the battery with a relay switched off the OE pump feed. Or run two relays one feeding each pump with the OE wiring only switching the relays.
Steve

G.Mac 12 November 2013 12:18 AM

Mine was set up with the external Bosch was piggybacked off the in tank pump, if you give your external pump a direct feed from the battery via a relay you should be fine. Remember to fit an inline fuse just after the battery just to be safe

Edit .... With the other side of the relay being triggered with a feed off the in tank pump, remember to have a good ground from the external Bosch to the chassis.
