This one??!!

Appalling spec for the cash, but its an apple of course

dpb 29 July 2013 09:12 AM

Appalling company to deal with as well it seems

JackClark 29 July 2013 09:43 AM

Ignore the troll.

Supplying the facts

"Appalling spec for the cash, but its an apple of course"

Hardly. Show me a laptop case of Apple spec for less money. Also show me the level of service and support and put a price on it. Another product having bigger numbers for less cash doesn't make the Macbook Appalling.

If you're desperate for an old mac you might as well go for a refurb from apple themselves!

BlkKnight 29 July 2013 11:37 AM

Played with a friends MBP 14 over the weekend. Not a bad bit of kit. Screen was lush.

Quite a lot of money for what essentially is an exceptional screen on quite old tech.

I'm waiting for the new gigabyte P35k or the P34G

duel core chip on an £1100 laptop?

lol, if you have to go for apple then, tis what it is, mega pricey compared to its competitors.

JackClark 29 July 2013 12:39 PM

Don't forget resale. I got £500 for my £1000 Macbook after 3 years, PC Laptop would be in the bin.

Tidgy 29 July 2013 12:45 PM

at 3 yers old i'd junk the macbook too lol some people are just blinded to buying mac

dpb 29 July 2013 12:52 PM

P35. Looks tasty

hodgy0_2 29 July 2013 08:44 PM

is the retina display worth the premium?

I have just bought my daughter the 13" one (non retina) for £860 odd quid

it did seem pricey for the spec, but it does look and feel like a quality bit of kit

with the retina display though - crikey

JackClark 29 July 2013 09:32 PM

If you're into photography it's quite likely the best your photos have ever looked. I used one for a week, took another week to get used to my own.

hodgy0_2 29 July 2013 09:48 PM

aha, so best not to look at one in the first place

JackClark 29 July 2013 09:51 PM

Exactly.
