Does that mean ipads/ipods will play more than just wmv/mp4 files?
|
They always have pretty much. But VLC is free and good, a nice combo.

Does it support hardware acceleration. The only player I will use on the iPad is Xbmc

That's not great. I've only tried movies I've made myself and they all worked fine.

I'm using it now on my ipad. Thing is some movies have no sound, but they worked fine on VLC on my MacBook. I don't have my MacBook ATM so can't check which sound formats aren't workings the iOS version.
