Right bit of an update

Car is now being slowly put back together, there was (as with a lot of newage and gc8 scoobs, so check yours!) rust up inside the rear arch right up on the outter part by the strut top! So couple of days spent cutting, making plates, welding, painting, seam sealing the rear arches so now she is completly solid shell!!

Attachment 69136

Attachment 69137

Then the whole rear end was put back on with the missing poly bushes, cleaned / serviced calipers, new ds2500 pads, diff guard, oh and the new wheels test fitted ;-) plus new goodridge braded hoses

Then was on to the front end, newage sti frame powder coated, plus arms, cusco arb, sti spec c quick rack, custom made steering uj, all new poly bushes so now completly polybushed!! Also white line anti lift kit

Attachment 69144

Next will be all the custom fuel and brake lines, engine drop in etc

Looking good, I need someone to weld up the holes where my spot welds used to be but I've still got an engine fitted:(

cjquicksilver 20 July 2013 05:28 AM

Www.carandcustomgarage.co.uk can sort it :-)

marshall332bhp 20 July 2013 07:23 AM

Looking very nice. You going for a totally smooth engine bay? Unwanted holes gone. Welds smoothed?

domino46 20 July 2013 07:46 AM

All that work and not one plug for the company that actually done it all ,,,,, the cage and spraying were done at DM-Motorsport in Wales not in Bristol :thumb:

cjquicksilver 20 July 2013 09:11 AM

No engine bay is staying like that now just clean and presentable

I didn't put daves name down for doing the cage ad spray as he said he didn't want to advertise? As I offered to have his name on the car also!

Dave doesn't need to advertise but its nice to let people know who done what so they can make a choice if they wanted the same work done ;),,,at the start of the thread it states built by carandcustomgarage and that can be misleading with regard to the cage and spraying mate ,,I know dave wouldn't be worried mate but its just nice to let people know who's done good work

cjquicksilver 20 July 2013 10:29 AM

Thred also states it went over to Wales to have the cage and re spray done and I didn't want to splash some ones name over an open forum
When they said they didn't want to?

BurtyBurg 20 July 2013 11:26 AM

Sorry mate can't seem to see where it says its going over to Wales to have the cage and spraying done ,,, but if dave had a problem with posting stuff up on a open forum then its news to me as he has been fine with me doing it as you can see by the add on bbs,,,,,one of the reasons he done such a good deal for you and maz was so others could see his work as he normally only deals with rally cars not track cars
