Jacko4130 13 June 2013 07:51 PM

Replica...

Fudgey 13 June 2013 08:13 PM

It is indeed a rep. Ds pro kara 430

But you have to love the old rs200's

What group b rallying is all about!

Inviroman 13 June 2013 08:31 PM

Sounded nice, even for a replica!

Inviroman 13 June 2013 08:37 PM

Found out this car is known on the ford scene and is a replica and has been done to high spec, full blown cosie set up.

gpssti4 13 June 2013 08:50 PM

IIRC Trevor Lewis at RallyTech(?) makes a kit with the donor being an Impreza!

MattyB1983 13 June 2013 09:05 PM

One was on ebay last week which was based on an impreza. Made just over 10K and didn't sell...

Hahaha... Glad somebody got a photo of the car today.

I wanted to get a pic when it came past me.

This was on the A406 / A13 today round 18:45?

I was driving along in my newly painted Sport when this bad boy came past.

I saw your car, was looking at how clean and shiny it was!
I was in the black Ford Focus.
He came of the A406 onto the A12.

Cheers mate! I had just got it back from removing rust on the back wheel arch. But I'm off to buy my cleaning products for the Impreza soon. I want to keep 'Wayne' in tip-top shape. As the previous few owners neglected the car a bit.

The sound the replica gave off had me switch of the stereo to hear it. It was just deep and throaty!

Fleetster 14 June 2013 07:56 AM

That does look nice, Collins Performance always had a couple on the ramps years ago.

Haha, good to see one finished. I knew Trevor years ago and he was building his first one around 10 years ago. He was a laminator at TVR. I've since lost contact with him.

alcazar 14 June 2013 08:29 AM

Lovely cars and rare as hen's teeth, even if that one is only a replica.

According to people who have driven both, the replicas are easier and nicer to drive. The real ones tended to be a bit brutal.

Nearest I've got was sitting in a real one.
Has anyone else sat in a GT70? http://www.bestautophoto.com/images/...d-gt-70-01.jpg

They were going to be the Ford rally car until the RS1800's came good. Then the project was shelved. I saw one at Bristol Street Motors in Birmingham around early 1971.

Firez34 14 June 2013 09:24 AM

There's the real deal on ebay at the mo at £150k and a replica tribute at £10k. I drive on all the time in Forza 4 it's awesome lol.

alcazar 14 June 2013 10:12 AM

That one on ebay has been advertised for a long time now.

There doesn't seem to be the money about any more. Ten years ago they were fetching £200,000 and went in days.

ronjeramy 15 June 2013 09:07 AM

I keep seeing one outside a small garage on my way to work, looks like an evo spec, it has the inter cooler above the roof and speed line split rims. Very cool

Fudgey 15 June 2013 12:25 PM

I have been lucky enough to have a passenger ride around brunter in a 200 evo. Awesome machines.
There are a couple of guys from kent that regulary track theirs so fair play to them!

Also have you seen prices of mint rs500's latey? They have doubled and sell for upwards of 75k...
