New to me sti few pics

Had this about three weeks now. My boy bought it with my money whether I liked it or not :lol1: he was sold on the rally graphics :wonder:

http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...506_135951.jpghttp://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...506_135856.jpg
http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...506_140043.jpg

bonus points if you notice the subtle mod in picture 4 ?

day after I bought the car I drove to Coventry to get some prodrive wheels. I wasn't worried about the 4hour round trip as I wanted to get to know the car. Coming from a Vectra sri I was blew away by the acceleration and general performance it holds the road like any thing I have ever driven.

In-between driving the car non stop with a massive smile on my face :luvlove:and work  I managed to get a few bits sorted. I fitted a lip spoiler zunsport black grill pink badge nice weighty gear knob and a jvc head unit.http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...516_095957.jpg

Car was filthy after a blast down to Bognor taking all back roads of course ;)

Then it was time for another little mod bet some of you don't even notice it as its quite subtle.

http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...t/SAM_0061.jpg
http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...t/SAM_0059.jpg

So that's how the car stands at the minute. sorry all of the above is quite random but i don't get a lot of time these days. Plans going forward are full detail, get it lowered slightly (front arch gap just a little big for my liking) and do something with roof scoop its quite badly painted and obviously has no purpose as it a fake :freak3:

Any comments positive or negative are welcome but if they are negative I cudnt give a flying f@@k because it my car and I love it. Better leave it there as im going for a drive

Laters Mike

Thanks martin. yeah definitely want it lowered but not sure what's best way to go about it ? Don't want it slammed just slighty lower and after just buying car and the few bits I have done funds are a bit low.

yup bonus points to you my friend, I had never seen one before I got my car it seems well made and an extra bit of security is never a bad thing.

thanks im really happy I did it, came out better than I thought to be honest took a lot of elbow grease to get rid of all bits of glue etc but worth it in the end. Both my boys are gutted :lol1:

Depends on what your selling and for how much ?

No mate down south, im originally from Gateshead now live in Hampshire hence the northern monkey name.

northern monkey sti 13 June 2013 12:23 PM

Should of probably mentioned its got the full ppp kit as well so pulls like a train. And the sound is awesome the neighbours love it ;) Anybody know of any car detailers in the Farnborough/Aldershot area ? and how much its likely to cost.

Firez34 13 June 2013 01:10 PM

Looks superb with the black wheels and no stickers fella and welcome by the way.

type-rob 13 June 2013 01:13 PM

good mods so far, great shout on the removal of graphics, coilovers are the best way forward to go lower, and I am sure everyone has their own opinion on which are best.

you will most likely need a bodyshop for the vent as I suspect it is bonded to hold at 3figure speeds... but please do go and get rid of it, nothing worse than a pimple on a so far great looking motor.

MattyB1983 13 June 2013 03:53 PM

What a transformation, looks stunning. I agree on the roof turd, definitely got to go.

tubbytommy 13 June 2013 03:56 PM

another roof turd.....

where do they come from, we should collectively buy the moulds and smash them.

looks like your saving this one from a chav hell, well done mate looks much better, as soon as the roof turd is removed she will look great.

There not to bad. Mine would give you 200mile for a tank £70 ish. That was mixture of joy riding and normal.

stonejedi 13 June 2013 05:17 PM

Very nice car mate its been transformed with just those little touchs,ENJOY.SJ.

f1_fan 13 June 2013 05:22 PM

Think you'll find the roof vent is bonded to the roof. Removal is easy enough, but you'll need the roof painting I reckon. Car looks much better without the graphics.... good move :thumb:

daz3883 13 June 2013 05:40 PM

Nice car mate, much better without graphics, i felt the the same with my arch gap after fitting new rims, a set of tein s tech springs sorted that, same ride quality only 30/35mm lower

daz3883 13 June 2013 05:52 PM

Heres mine after, and one of why i cant go any lower, the speedbumps around our estate are unbelievable

Thanks for the comments. Daz your car looks very nice, you got a link to them springs please ? Would a body shop charge much to remove and paint the scoop or would I be better removing myself and getting as much of the s@@t off myself then taking to paint ?

depends what it's stuck on with. Try prise it off. Order an eraser wheel from eBay. Goes into ya drill that might get the sealer off if its rubbish they used to bomd it with. Take it easy wont take much to dent ya roof.

daz3883 13 June 2013 09:54 PM

These are the springs mate,
