Can you let us know how you get on? I can work out just about how to make a ghetto version myself but if there is a polished one ready for go and the price isn't too bad (would be nice to be able to override it too) I would go for that every time!

Thanks :)

Has anyone else got any details of where they got there's from?:brickwall

alcazar 18 May 2013 10:08 AM

Rather than chase this guy, who was pretty unreliable at the time, why not research how to make one yourself?

p1_cjv 18 May 2013 06:33 PM

Thanks, yes, shall be looking into this, just hoped to find a lead!;)

jpor 18 May 2013 07:23 PM

Good place to start with electronics and how to get them to work:

I'll try a post or two elsewhere too, I'd like one myself.
I can see it being a relay or two, a capacitor, resistor etc.

He's still on here, He was selling a set of gauges a week or so back, Cant see a problem with pressing a button personally but hey each to their own, It might sound a daft thing to say but you will need the JDM electronic mirrors to make it work or any car that has them fitted, It wont work with the manal standard set up on the UK cars thumb:

It is a shame that he has stopped making them really but they may well not have been worth his time compared to the lack of demand that he mentioned on one of his vids.

I would happily pay £50 or so for a mod like this to save me the flaff of working it out.

Cjv, since you got the last one and got his attention, be a darling and ask him to look at/post on this thread please ;) :)

Id rather have them open/close with the alarm remote.

Annoyingly, I turned down a set of cheap jdm folding mirrors a few weeks ago because they didnt come with the switch. :brickwall

Mr Footlong 29 May 2013 08:51 PM

Cheers dude, got in contact with him and he might just be working something out on this front! Prices are looking good still too.

"Any alarm with a 12v output can be wired up to the module too for folding on arming."

Depends on the alarm and if that fits your needs.

p1_cjv 30 May 2013 08:04 PM

Ok,in the process of wiring this up,just the permanent live to go,going for either the back of the radio or the hazard light, whats the easiest route and what do i need to remove to gain access and how do i connect it?

Mr Footlong 02 June 2013 08:28 PM

Alcazar, have a read when you get the chance :) - https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...g-mirrors.html

A new group buy.

p1_cjv 02 June 2013 09:06 PM

Yep i'm pleased i got his attention and that he is starting a GB for these:thumb:

alcazar 03 June 2013 10:57 AM

Depending on price, I could be in for one, but they don't cost much in bits.

Also: what do we feel about our mirror motors running every start/stop? Wear?

Mr Footlong 03 June 2013 11:01 AM

The price is in the link and the wear doesn't bother me as if they die I will get another set and have my painting chap sort me out if I don't just cannibalize them :). The other thing is the car isn't (well, wasn't now that Madam smashed her) a daily driver for me.

A measly £22 for someone else to go to the trouble of getting the bits, making it for me and dropping it through my letterbox is a total no-brainer IMO.

alcazar 03 June 2013 10:16 PM

Sorry, I'd missed that link.
